Clampshell designs might be the future for these companies because it would allow them to put in more powerful chips while also allowing the device to still be pocketable.

I expect it to be exactly the same specs as the 3+ with the choice of clamshell or classic. For me the key will be screen size. I will get the Flip if it's not smaller than the 3+. I must say it is odd to release this when it could slow sales of the 3+, details, price and release date are needed.

I think it uses the same screen but overall the device is smaller, because of the clampshell design (it's closer to a DS Lite in size than a New 3DS XL)
