Just think, it's nothing in comparison to how many I have had, sold and given away. I love thinking about how many ladies are currently wearing those dresses that have once graced this wardrobe. I love the way your closet feels like a boutique! I want to put out a month’s selection at a time. A seasonal rotation is way too stifling for me. My go-to personal style (at 33 weeks pregnant in the dead of winter) is a lot of bohemian smocked dresses or flowy smocked skirts with a pregnancy top. Then I layer a Southwestern print cardigan or a sweater/jacket over it.

Love the dress you are wearing today! Such a pleasure to see your beautiful dresses! I'm in the midst of the cold winter days, so have warm socks, jeans, t-shirt, cardigan and pink puffer vest. I wear dresses in spring, summer and fall. In the winter, I only wear dresses to church or special occasions. At least my cardigan is a gray ruffled one that looks nice with my light pink. I think I may look into some prettier colors for sweaters instead of basic navy, black, white.

Where do you live with cold winters? I’m not outside a lot in winter so a quick dash from my SUV to the store only requires boots and leggings under my black dress with a sweater and vest. In the arctic freeze a couple weeks back, I did have my winter coat with me but it gets so hot inside stores, you know?

I loved this video Nikki! I live with 4 seasons … it seems like I’m organizing my closet and drawers constantly and I LOVE doing this. I also store off season clothes in boxes with labels. I was wondering if you ever did get the skirts? Or introduce skirts/ blouses back into your wardrobe? I store my off season shoes and boots in containers as well (I have too many) 😅 and I really need to be ruthless once spring comes which will most likely be May where I live. How many dresses do you take out and how often, because so many of your dresses are interchangeable throughout the year, except maybe the really dark colors that some people prefer for fall/winter. I love the idea of shopping your closet. When I go to Ross or TJ Maxx, i seldom find any dresses that are pretty at all, Thank you for sharing!

I don't have a set number and the colors I use throughout any season aren't always considered "seasonal". I haven't found anything from Ross or TJ Maxx in a while myself. Maybe that will change come spring.

I work full time and three years ago our company decided to have us wear uniforms. Unfortunately they were chosen by a man. The uniforms are men's shirts and pants. How to look feminine wearing a man's uniform? I always wear makeup but I decided to wear a nice pair of stud earrings to work. As soon as I get home, on goes a dress. And also, shoes, I have little ones and I don’t feel secure to go out with them with décolletés o ballerinas… 😢 what if I have to run after them? Do you have any tips? I also live somewhere that gets brutally cold. I wear fleece lined tights under my dresses. They’re warmer than trousers! I will often layer turtlenecks under the dresses or (if that doesn’t match the style of the dress) wear cardigans of varying weights over the dress. A dress topped with a thick cardigan sweater is toasty! Sweater dresses are also incredibly warm. Pair these with warm boots & it’s warmer than jeans & a turtleneck. Especially when the windchill is -20F. Fleece & thermals are a must under trousers then! All these outfits are very modest bc you’re literally covered neck to toe! No worries about crawling around on the floor when you’re in fleece lined tights :) In fall I wear thinner leggings or tights with thinner cardigans & loafers/ballet flats/boots.

DianaJean's comment was spot on. These are the things I would do if in such a cold climate. I haven't had much experience in that though so I really don't have examples. Adding a coat is really all that's necessary at times where I live. Ballerinas have been my staple, even when my kids were little 🌹
