Rankin Bass produjo primero El Hobbit en 1977. Despues en 1878 Ralph Bakshi dirigio su version de El Señor De Los Anillos la cual acaparaba La Comunidad Del Anillo y parte de Las Dos Torres. Bakshi iba a producir una segunda parte que daria conclusion a su version animada pero el estudio no quiso apoyarlo. Por eso Rankin Bass realizo esta continuacion de El Regreso Del Rey con el mismo estilo de animacion que El Hobbit.

Christian French It shows in Peter Jackson's The Two Towers, I feel the Orcs are protecting Merry and Pippin when the one Orc is hungry and the leader says “They are not for eating.” Then it leads to cannibalism and they get killed.

I like the Rankin/Bass design for Samwise, who just so happens to be my FAVOURITE "The Lord of The Rings" character, WAY better than the Peter Jackson design (no offense at all to Sean Astin) and certainly better than the Ralph Bashki design! Just sayin'.
