The thing about American processed fast food is that it is very very high in calories, fats, sugars, salt and carbs. It's not meant to be an everyday meal. It's a treat. Like dessert. If you eat cake everyday you will be obese and unhealthy, and nobody would blame the cake.

Exactly! People might be surprised to find out that not so many Americans are eating daily from fast food joints on a regular basis. I'd just seen yesterday that one hamburger, at Wendy's, (w/bacon and mushrooms) costs $9 and change. One burger. For that price, I could get one/two pounds of chopped beef and have my own home-cooked burgers. It's not rocket science. The only time I go "fast food" is when us and the kids are at the beach and walk over to the beach's concession stand to pick up some burgers and hot dogs.

Get a doggie bag. I've gotten two extra meals out of a restraunt before. Also stay in a place with a kitchenette and buy real food while on vacation. Restraunts are for once every 1-2 months. It's just a treat.
