Check the facial slap at 1.07.00 - he catches his face twice!! The forehand and the backhand in the same ‘get yourself together you fool’ kind of slap🤣😳. I watched it 25 times - it’s hilarious. Watch his reaction as he’s slapped and then in 0.5seconds he gets a tiny reaction in and then he’s grabbed by the shoulders!! ABSOLUTE GOLD

My Mum worked with a bloke who travelled down to Whitstable and went to the Tea Room Cushing went to for lunch every day.He nervously introduced himself, and was given two hours of the great man's time. The owners then took some photos of them together(which I enviously looked at somewhere later). This wonderful man felt a huge affection and gratitude to his many fans, and was clearly happy to give them his time(and tea and cake!).

I met Peter once in Whitstable. He came out of a paper shop and I nearly bumped into him. I made some fatuous remark along the lines of 'Good lord, you're Peter Cushing!' 'Thats right, dear boy, I certainly am' he replied. Then, he lightly tapped me on the chest with his Telegraph and strolled away.
