skodbolle it sounds impressive but they made a lot of engineering decisions that resulted in the need for a lot of smart stuff. Problem is, they could’ve avoided most of their problems if they had elected to forego the box.

I've been on forums where these older audiophiles have listened to sooo many speakers makes me jealous, so I wouldn't be surprised if some people have actually head the b/o sound. I've heard about a 20 different hifi brand speakers, but not these, 20 isn't very many since there are so many more great ones I want to hear.

Sounds like an understandable approach that is innovative but not tech for tech's sake. Practical solutions for long time limitations in home environments. In very general terms (not to compare brand to brand here or be a meathead) like it may sound like my Klipsch Cornwall IIs but in an anechoic chamber, with more consistent sound ( my speakers suffer from voice coil heat up). I am intrigued.

if you are going to audition these, find a big space, sit in the focal spot and crank them up - Listen to: SRV - Tin Pan Alley, The Boxer by Mumford and Sons, Steely Dan - Asia, Patricia Barber - What a Shame, and finally Jerry Douglas - So Here We Are. I did and I had trouble walking afterwards. Astonishing! ASTONISHING!

Although I love audiophiles, I bet you people that say that it is not audiophiles NEVER EVER have listen to it. I bet it is very much so. Since audiophiles at this level CAN NOT be defined. Since every reproduction is an illusion. That can as a definition not be determent as is or is not. The prize is insane though, were do people get that kind of money............... In the end it is about how much more can you get out of the reproduction, without adding. Which is some kind of contradiction again.

I like BEO. I have a few products. But. at the end of the day, this brand has a strong house sound, which can viewed as having a wide appeal, but a purist/a true audiophile will rarely satisfied. More importantly, it just sound OK, not great, for the money. Honestly, I purchased for the design. At least for me, the sounds is just ok.

B&O sales nethod: pick a massive $ figure, come up with some sort of pseudo science to explain why it's so expensive, aim it squarely at rich women who don't listen to music and want something that won't clash with the modernist credenza in the fourth formal dining room and the bichons.

Those midrange drivers look like ScanSpeak Illuminator. Not the cheap paper cones you'd see In a Bose product.
@kondor99983 жыл бұрын
Ridiculous. I’ve heard these and they are no better (possibly worse) than my 35 year old Cerwin-Vega’s. Totally over-engineered, trying to fix a “problem” that can be cured simply by installing proper sound absorbing materials in your listening room. No “recording engineer” uses anything other than a simple pair of monitors. If you want to hear what they hear - use what they use. This is just more crap for people with more money than sense.

@BrodeyDoverosx6 жыл бұрын
FlyBy Night nooo, it’s glorified Siegfried Linkwitz technology. They are using the rear speakers to create a cartioid polar response which is good but is much easier achieved with an open baffle. It seems that they’ve created a lot of problems because they weren’t willing to give up the closed box.
