The inner circle isn't for the alt history branches. One of the dev replies said it was already a pain to get working and they'd have to rebuild it from scratch for each other branch to do that.

I was hoping earlier, when it was first teased, that it would be a new mechanic. I really want to see what it looks like in the content/code and if there are any reusable components for modders.

@@Pydgin "The Inner Circle system itself is implemented in script so can be reverse-engineered and any parts desired can be applied /modified/ etc. for any mod, but it is specifically designed for Germany so it will require significant work to adapt it to other countries/needs." -one of the dev replies. So it looks like modders can recreate the Inner Circle and possibly more which is exciting. We'll know for certain with an upcoming dev diary though.

Id like to see Italy have a similar feature as the reichskommisiariats but for their own colonies, they already get italian east africa, but itd be nice to see them be able to establish similar colonies around the world, same with japan.

I'm not ready, I still haven't played Germany to death. How do I disable updates 😂

After the 14th the update will be automatic but you can roll back. Steam > Right click Hearts of Iron 4 > Properties > Betas > None Change none to 1.14.X for the current version. You can play even older versions all the way back to 1.5.
