Thank you. It makes perfect sense though I really don’t know what I’m talking about. A screenplay writer should understand that the director, for example, is like a person sitting in a cinema theatre, so if the director doesn’t ‘get’ or appreciate the first draft, that segment of audience the director represents would not like it. So, it’s in the writer’s best interest to reflect and adjust without losing the idea. It’s like polishing a rough diamond to project the light of the idea in the most beautiful way.

How they (through a light placed in a certain way or a prop, or acting, or a sound they had not even imagined) reveal other facets and depths unknown even to the screenplay writer! Imagine the delight of the screenplay writer being surprised.
