Yay! I’m so glad we’ve found each other. I haven’t mentioned it yet, but I’m going on my first knitting retreat, speaking of, and that the one in Santa Fe, NM with Gudrun Johnston. I’m a new knitter this year…I started in March, so it’s a big step for me!

@ that’s so awesome!! You’re going to have an amazing time, I just know it! I’m taking a hap class with Gudrun at a shop in RI in a few weeks. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting her before, but have all of her books.

Your Rhinebeck adventure recap is delightful. I am glad you had a lovely time. I would be a solo traveler, also.

Love your Jameson and Smith color choices. Stunning! I enjoyed your recap video. I really would like to go to the Shetland islands and see the sheep, meet the people and shop. I can’t wait to see your finished cowl!

Thanks! I just picked up some alpaca to hold with the first color which will be my first time doing that!

Great to see your perspective of Rhinebeck! I've never been, but as an introvert, I could see myself hanging out with the animals too😊 I have used Woolly Thistle's Jamieson and Smith yarn before and I loved it! You might also like Rauma Finullgarn. After I learn how to knit sweaters, those are the yarns that I will go back to. They have a great body to them without being too rough, and they do colorwork like a dream. Enjoy!

Lilly, thanks for the recommendation. I’ve been thinking about trying out Finullgarn. I see it listed on the Whoolly Thistle website and I love to hear them talking about the yarns on their podcast!

I was there too! Definitely an overstimulating experience but so worth it!

I love the Moon yarn shop in Bellevue!!! My son and daughter in law live across the street from her shop in Bellevue!!! Although we live in Richmond Virginia, we travel to Pittsburgh often.

Joy, We love Richmond by the way. How fun that you know the area and the shop! Bellevue is really doing some good things with that Main Street! If you’re ever visiting and are going to pop in the shop, let me know. I’d love to meet you there if the timing works! You probably know she has wonderful crafting events ….theres one this weekend . People come and go with their craf, sitting and staying for awhile. Thanks for watching!

Love the recap! I agree..so much you want to share. I also traveled solo and it's probably one of the few places I have been where you are alone but don't feel alone or awkward. I recognize you and am sure I saw you there or maybe elsewhere as well--probably the Woolly Thistle connection. Definitely make the Cloud Drift cowl--I did and it was perfect for the weather there and fun to knit with so many color options. I missed a lot of vendors my first year--you walk right by because it's so busy Saturday--do a Sunday when you can get into the booths.Thanks for sharing!

Ah it’s so nice to meet you! It’s such a small world, isn’t it? Do you have a favorite yarn shop in your area? I’m glad to know about your channel!

@ Hello Yes There are several Off hand I don’t know the names but there is one in Bridgville and one in Swickley and Ross Farms in Washington Pa Do you belong to a guild or knitting group?
@AdventurerKnits2 ай бұрын
I don’t. I’ve gone to just a couple knit nights or gatherings locally, trying to find my fit. I do like Moon & Yarn Craft Room in Bellevue. Unfortunately Sewickley doesn’t have a regular knit night.
