Thanks for your video. The valleys look so peaceful and beautiful. My great great grandfather at 21 left his family farm in the Valley in 1864 and emigrated to Australia. They named a family house in my home town "Rhondda" so I guess he thought fondly of his homeland and undoubtedly missed the area as well as his family.

I'm from the Rhondda. As soon as I got home every semester from Uni I'd go sit down the park and look up at the mountains. Going away even though I loved it makes you appreciate the scenery and gorgeous place you're from.

@morgs4mountains Absolutely my pleasure to watch your video,I look forwards to more of your content and am hoping and praying my flowers will come up,I also planted a few daffodils the day we scattered the ashes which was my late Brothers birthday! Penrhys has a terrible reputation but long before the council estate it was a holy place of pilgrimage and hopefully will be long into the future! Love and light XXX

@simonewillowbrook9860 yes, I have always thought it was an odd place to build a new estate so close to an important area of pilgrimage. I'm sure your flowers will thrive there!!

The Rhondda really is beautiful 🤩 it’s easy to get caught up in the Industry and mining ⛏️ that happened here in the past my dad and grandfather both worked in pits near here but it’s great to see how nature has taken back what is hers 😊🙏🏼🏔️🏔️🏔️ Nicely filmed and a get threw hike 👍 Best regards Simon 🤠🏔️👍

Thank you Simon. I agree with you. Both Rhondda valleys and the Ogmore in particular could, with no industry, be worthy additions to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Thank you for your kind words. I love walking in this area.

Lovely video Dave, interesting. Its not difficult to imagine all the industry that once was there. When I think of the vallys it reminds me of what George Borrow said about the desolation there in his book Wild Wales which I'm sure you have read. Cheers 👍

I love my Rhondda very much. I'm so passionate about the Rhondda, when I was 8 years old I joined the tonypandy library to find out about the tonypandy riots, I also found out about some of the titanic ships coal came from the Rhondda
