I recently found your channel and I live a very similar life. I love being at home, love growing/raising food, love cooking and caring for my family...and I love homeschooling our youngest! I'm up-potting some pepper plants while I watch and listen to YT. It's a beautiful sunny day in WV and my daughter and I have already been to the garden early this morning to dig some yellow dock for a tincture before our neighbor plows our garden (possibly this evening!). We plan to plant potatoes soon and already have other early crops in raised beds. I love this time of year!

Yes, add 1 cup starter and decrease the flour and water by 1/2 cup each.

I’d love to use some of your recipes on your blog, but there are so many ads and pop-ups that I’m spending more time closing ads and pop-up than reading your content. While I understand you’re trying to make money from the ads, you would do better to reduce the ads so you don’t lose so many viewers. At least make them less obtrusive. Love your content, but that ads are costing you viewership on your blog.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My goal has always been to offer all of my content for free forever. I never plan on offering paid content on my platforms. Unfortunately, that means my only source of income will be from serving ads. I am however in the process of changing ad agencies and will have more control of ad placement. I wish bloggers could run their websites with no need for income, but, that would be very hard to do since it does take money to have a blog. I appreciate your input!

@@TheRoseHomestead I totally understand the need for a revenue stream. I don’t have an issue with the ads, it’s more about the placement and how many pop-up ads there are or pop-ups to collect email addresses. This may be a feature of your blog software. I don’t know what hosting platform you use for your blog and what options you have for ad placement. There are so many hosting sites that unfortunately prioritize their ads over a creators content that it drives users away from those sites out of frustration. I’d be happy to try and help you find a better platform if you’d like. I do like your content very much and would like to see you be very successful in your venture.
