Countryside Walking

An easy riverside walk which we followed as part of The Ribble Way. Parking in Clitheroe (at Chester Avenue long stay) meant a short road walk to the entrance of Brungerley Park and Sculpture trail, just before Brungerley Bridge. Despite our riverside linear route, with short sections of road walking, we passed through countryside, various woodlands and even a small sculpture trail.
A few of the sculpture exhibits close to the River Ribbleside
1. 'As the Crow Flies'/Wooden compass by David Halford
2 'Wildlife' Ceramic Mosaic by Halima Cassell
3. 'Lords and Ladies' by Halima Cassell
4. 'Otter' by Fiona Bowley
5. 'Common Comfrey by Halima Cassell
6. The Cook House'/Pan of Tripe by Helen Callaghan

I agree. I think the colour of the countryside is so relaxing especially in the summer. (Some interesting pizza recipies on your channel.)

I did that the other way round when I was 7 years old. Grandparents were most surprised to see us and wondered how on earth we managed to get there.

That was nice for you. Also nice to know other walkers familiar with out routes. Thanks for comments.

Hi Shanita, that was another pleasant walk in a different part of the Ribble valley. Found those bits of fungus and the painted pebbles fascinating. I agree those bridges are quite dangerous to cross when there's no footway. Attractive bridges all the same. I stayed in Clitheroe for a few days about 7 years ago, so explored around Pendle Hill, Downham and Chatburn, as well as other parts of the Forest of Bowland. Another lovely part of the UK. You had a nice day again weatherwise. Enjoyed your music too as always. Have a great weekend 👍

Hi Patrick. Hope keeping well. We are getting quite familiar now around Clitheroe, and those places you mentioned Downham, Chatburn and Pendle Hill are all well known to me. There are so many places to visit socially and for walks. We are so lucky. Thanks for comments on music, and have a great weekend yourself. All the best. Shanita.👍🥾

There's much to be said for the old country - I'm sure I wouldn't find it nearly as interesting were it of today's landscape. Thanks for the walk and tour!

Good to see that walk in the summer, we have walked Brungerley in the winter. Lovely relaxing piano piece Shanita, interesting that you were a singer. We actually met those same two sheep dogs on our walk, they must be the Brungerley meet and greet team.

Had to laugh at your comments about the 'Brungerley Meet and Greet team'!. Didn't know they were dog regulars to the area. Yes, used to sing in clubs up North, but a long time ago before music and filming took over. Thanks as always for your support Steve.

What a lovely leisurely (and nothing wrong with that!) walk through an area that I haven't ever explored myself. So you used to be a singer in the clubs back in the day, Shanita? I love it! Let's pray that love is, indeed, in the air - in more ways than one 🙏❤

Great! to read your comments. Yes. I did used to be a singer in clubs, cabaret and theatres long before I started walking, filming or recording my compositions. (Always into music though). Its well worth a visit if you're ever up round Clitheroe. Thanks Andee.🙂🎼

I have only just seen your comments. I don't always receive notifications for earlier films on youtube. So sorry for that. Also sorry to read about your loosing your business. That must have been traumatic for you. All the best though for Festive Season, and thanks for checking out past films.
