I recently finished this off myself, it was definitely spread out a few years and Galarian Ponyta was my last regional form shiny I got since I have Sword only and not Shield. 1510 eggs is definitely a memorable end for me in terms of regional hunts.

The galarian birds are already very, very rare spawns, and their shiny version is even rarer. I have a lot of followers and friends on Twitter who have 1B+ experience in PoGo and play every day and I've seen enough to count on one hand. So yeah, they're rare 😂 lol. Whoever decided to make them that rarer is getting the last laugh for those of us who missed the event to get them for free*

Currently shiny hunting for Mimikyu while watching this :D I want it to be the second shiny Pokémon I get from hatching eggs, first one was a shiny female Eevee that I hatched on the 15th Nov, 10th egg I hatched, her name is Clover, I also caught a shiny Dratini yesterday just while I was walking around, these three are shinies I’ve wanted to get for awhile and now that I already have two of them I’m determined to get Mimikyu ^^ Edit: I had 84 eggs, I think I’ll take a little break and then I’ll go get some more eggs and hatch them ^^

If I remember right alolan exeggutor is dragon type because the palm tree it's based on is called the Dragon Tree

Exeggcutor being dragon type actually makes sense, and white stripe basculin was the same in hisui AND the alolan variants being there also makes sense, it´s a terarium, they caught these pokemon and put them there it really sounds like you´re the type of person that judges pokemon entirely by their look while knowing nothing about them also why do people complain that the newer games are easy to shiny hunt in? isn´t that a good thing?

geuinely, how do you manage to find them so quickly in s/v? i get it comes down to luck but these past few days i haven't had a single shiny in 1 sandwich, all of them took at least a couple. i usually just stay a bit away from them and reset with a picnic (if it's an outbreak) or just run around them (when i'm using an encounter sandwich)

2 things Alolan Exeggutor (idc I can’t spell), is dragon cause of the dragon fruit, but also the tree it’s based on! Idk why people hate on Paldean Tauros’ shiny, it’s great asf! Plus if you can’t tell the difference that’s just a skill issue

I think alolan exeggutor is way better than regular exeggutor. I always thought it was weird how regullar exeggutor was a short and fat palm tree, when in reality they're tall and thin, so alolan exeggutor was a correction of sorts. And it being a dragon type may be because it was partially inspired by a mo'o, from hawaiian mythology, the same thing the kommo-o line is inspired by, thus giving some depth to an otherwise shallow as a kid's inflatable pool Pokémon.
