I've read that Tulsi was raised by a Catholic father and Hindu mother. Tulsi practices Hinduism and affirms the value of all the great religious traditions of the world. I suspect her unique religious upbringing has contributed greatly to her tolerant and informed outlook on the subject. I've seen videos where she presents an intelligent interfaith message that ably synthesizes her Hindu and Christian influences. She's really a unique public figure.

My eyes were opened this past year to so much. I am one of thousands of military members who requested a religious exemption for the C-19 vax. At the time I submitted my request I had faith that it would at least be given fair consideration. But when everyone was getting the same blanket denial letter, it became clear they never had any intention of approving any requests and were more than ready to kick us all out unless we complied. Thankful lawyers stepped in to help us 🙏🏼 Many of us that are still in are currently sitting "limbo", unable to do our actual jobs, while things play out in the courts.

I first heard of Jay YEARS ago via Glenn Beck. I'm thrilled you had him on. We're talking about a civility/standards issue confronting the "ends justify means" mentality. It's really a question of personal character being displaced by absolute indoctrination. We've been spiraling downward for decades. One other note on religious tests: the Democrats didn't attack Mitt Romney's beliefs a whole lot, but the Republicans did. The same nonsense raised against Kennedy was used against Romney with the added animus of "he's not Christian". We have bigotry reigning supreme EVERYWHERE.

Great podcast Tulsi and I really appreciate what you are doing. If I may make a friendly suggestion, I would think seriously about dropping your references to "our democracy". This union was established as a constitutional republic and there was a great antipathy toward democracy as the founders were well aware of the dangers of the mob rule which is democracy. Our effective degeneration to democracy is largely responsible for the degradation of liberty in which we are now living.
