It was a struggle getting to work Thursday as the 'Bomb Cyclone' slammed into the Northeast and parts of central United States. Just days after millions of people packed Times Square in New York City, it looked like a ghost town due to the blizzard conditions. Up and down the east coast, schools were cancelled. this video got a lot of hate lmao but any skater (whether on ice, inline, or quad skates) or anyone who does some kind of glide sport knows that practicing falling as safely as possible is one of the most important basic things to learn. if you’re gonna be in a place where there’s ice for long periods of time, it’s not a bad move to learn how to fall safely or at least think about it. you do have a brief moment after you realize you’re slipping but before you actually fall, and if you already have a safe falling process memorized then you can use that moment to move your body into the right position. also i know this video is pretty old but y’all know youtube recommendations be wildin and anyway this is still pretty useful information imo that people don’t really talk about.

Getting back up is easy, you just get on one knee like you're gonna propose and then push up with both hands on your knee while pulling the other leg in.
