The Righteous Brothers were referred to as Blue-eyed Soul. Bobby Harfield is the tenor. Bill Medley is the baritone. check out "Unchained Melody". This was called Phil Spector's Wall of Sound. Cher was one of the background singers. Yes, that Cher. Just two young men and a microphone. No auto tunes.

You are absolutely correct in describing The Righteous Brothers. I was fortunate enough to be born in that era of great music. Here’s a fact. This song was the most played song on radio and TV in the 20th Century. To me the greatest duo of all time. Legendary! If you can check out Unchained Melody sung live in 1965 by them or I should say one of them the late great Bobby Hatfield. I’m sure you know the song. Was in the movie Ghost. One of the most covered songs of all time. But Bobby Hatfield’s version is the gold standard. Also try Soul and Inspiration and also Rock And Roll Heaven. New subscriber and thank you.

TV & radio was heavily censored in those days. No " Gyrations " allowed . That's why Elvis was filmed from the waist up when performed on TV 50s& most of the 60s. It was a different time back then

Thanks for sharing. Love me some Bobby and his voice. RIP Bobby Hatfield you are missed. PS: please listen/react to Guess Who, Never Walk Alone, I need your loving, Bring it on back, Soul and Inspiration and some of Bobby's singles like My Prayer and Summertime and Unchained Melody.

I fondly remember this song, from being a teenager. This was un-adulterated beautiful music in its day. I’m so pleased that the younger generation is enjoying the hard work that, went into being a singing artist, with no electronic intervention, to enhance their performance. Just brilliant music.
