I really like how they showed how men deal with grief and then showing how the wife explains it. Showing how he cuts off himself mentally because the pain is just to much for him to take, basically leaving him in a mental zombie who doesn’t move doesn’t do anything. A lot of couples divorced after a death of a child. Husband can’t open up to his wife about the pain because the pain is just to much to take when losing his little girl. And wife if feeling abandoned having to deal with all the emotions by herself.

I watched this in the cinema bearly crapped my pants lol. We had just bought home a HUGE TV that summer for wirkd cup soccer game. I wanted a room for my own, so i used the separate dining room from the living room for that, it had no door, so i put up like a drape or curtain as a door. Our TV got very warm after having watched something on it, so it used to make lots of cracking noises after turning it off. I came home after the moviees, lay in bed and hearing both the TV making noises and my hamster wanting to get out of its cage, all i could picture was that thing crawling its way out of our TV lol...terrified to say the least!

I’m hoping if I admit this to total strangers I’ll be free of guilt.. I took my sweet girlfriend at the time to see this movie & it was absolutely traumatizing & messed her up.I still feel bad to this day but when we got back to my place at around 1am she went to the bathroom & I quickly turned off all the lights, went to my room & turned my bedroom tv onto a channel that only displayed static. I then hid behind the bedroom door giggling like a child. As she left the bathroom she slowly walked cautiously down the dark hallway towards my room all a while quietly calling my name which I didn’t reply. When she got to the door frame of my room she locked eyes on the tv static & immediately began to cry as if she was about to die. Realizing my joke had gone horribly wrong, I jumped out apologizing like crazy assuring her it wasn’t real. Wonder if after all these years she still can’t watch The Ring because of what I did... sorry

An adult in my family, when I was 8 years old (2005), took me to my closet and tried to kill me by an autoerotic asphyxiation set up (told to choke myself with a belt and keep trying to black out until I implicitly died). I've never gotten over how disturbed I was by this, though it's been 20 years. Just stopped when she said, "Do you think maybe she was into...," and I realized that perhaps she meant autoerotic asphyxiation. Then I stopped and looked up when this movie came out. It'd be more disturbing if this person hadn't seen it. I doubt they did, but you never know. The thing is, I'm in the family that made the atomic bomb and at one point, I had this horrific snapshot of myself as the Grudge thing, as I was waking up, after seeing it the night before. I start to wonder sometimes if my family isn't... Negatively affected by what our relation Colonel Groves did.

DAMN AIDEN, WE GET IT. You're spooky and special. Jesus christ this kid sucks. SPOILERS AHEAD Unlike Samara whose life was utter crap, he had every opportunity and excuse to not behave like a spooky little shit. In Ring Two, I figure she saw how miserable he was making poor mom with his played out Damien-on-xanax schtick and just wanted to help. Rachael should've counted her losses and raised Samara instead, since she'd probably have a better chance of becoming a well-adjusted and halfway functioning adult.
