Labor of love. I spent a lot of time compiling and editing this together immediately after this show. I wasn't able to attend but this was the next best thing. Jimmy was my fav teacher at AIM Atlanta back in the late 80's when he quit to join ARU, and I quit to go watch him everywhere, and continue my eclectic education... Every one of these players are truly pioneer torch bearers of instrumental sound, style, and innovation, perpetually exemplifying next level improvisation... Glad you like it.

What the hell? I've watched this numerous times, and I'm just blown away by the whole band, really. After just a blistering solo, I love the finishing touch Jimmy drops in at around the 35:44 mark as they move back into the song. So much talent on that stage.

+Mark Mastronardi I saw this tour in Denver, three guitar gods - but it would've been nothing without M'bappe (who I'd already seen with Mahavishnu John) and Carlock laying down a KILLER POCKET!!! I'm a guitar player there to see guitarists, and I spent "too" much time watching M'bappe and Novak. Wow.

Sadly no, I wasn't there. Were you? Seen dozens of Jimmy shows, since he was my teacher at Atlanta Institute of Music, but I missed the show in Athens. I was sposed to be there but ended up nursing a sleepy jet lagged girlfriend. So I wanted to hear what I missed, and then I wanted to see it. Lo and behold, two taper angels made that happen for me, and many others of us. I'll probably put the Athens show together too, with the footage I've found, but this BB King show, is really superior sound.

All good. If I could make one small comment. Wouldnt it be good if more than one soloed at at time so they can interact in the same way that Krantzy( as his now known), does with the drums and bass.

done that once already, when it was one frame out in the first(video)song... as far as I know,, It's in sync everywhere, I have watched it countless times, with great scrutiny... I did see it at a friends house and his blue ray internet player got out of sync with it, so I pulled out my comp went to youtube and showed the same song in perfect sync...Btw,, I am working on a full remaster of both vid and audio... also, you didn't mention what song you had issues with...
