Nerd cookies, I really don’t understand how you do not see the genius of this show. A ship floats because it looks upward and a rock sinks because it looks downward. Good God, woman, does anything else need to be said? Can’t wait until next season, and then two more. So excited!

I saw a video by someone else theorizing that Adar is corrupted Celeborn and the blonde chick at the forge is Celebrian after she was raised away from her parents. I wish I could believe that they wouldn’t be so dumb, but I wouldn’t put it past them.

It has all the signs of being written by AI. They just fed it the books and movies, certainly a bit of Star Wars in this one- and it just spat out the dialogue. “Delve” is a word that’s overused by AI currently. Now notice how many times you hear “delve”

I kinda like Miridinia. She's kinda faithful and long suffering. Seems better than elves that flap about more. Manipulating her via touch is perfunctory, unless you view the Galadriel comparison as Sauron being indiscrete about his interests. He says "of course", as if she should also have Galadriel on her mind. Galadriel isn't a legendary beauty in this. But within a conception of nobility, it probably is flattering to compare someone to a high born figure. In terms of the narrative, she's likely fodder. If Sauron had been nice to her, humanized her and then pushed her out the window to make sure she doesn't blab, that would have shown a cost and stressed Sauron as loathsome. As is, the measure of her character is likely to be how they kill her off or just her being a set of eyes witnessing Sauron's manipulation of Celebrimbor. As a kid, I read 'Oliver Twist'. Nancy was a secondary character. But given that she died as a product of her virtue, I complained that the book should have been called "Nancy (and some brat)". I don't see Miridiania making it out alive, but I just want her to get an ounce of dignity. The failed ring having powers that map up to the one ring moves the plot along, if it creates problems about why the rings for man are similar enough to the one ring. Power over earth seems a plus - requiring that you can sculpt the ring for a particular purpose. So a ring that lets you see a nightmare world seems too specific to be developed as some kind of accident. Unless Sauron is meant to be experimenting on the one ring (and lying about what he's doing), it doesn't make a ton of sense.

Wouldn't it be weird if companies producing continuations, prequels, sequels or remakes hired people that knew the IP well, or even had a passion for it?

I haven't really thought about this but what does blacksmithing have to do with jewelry? The 2 arnt comparable at all, jewelry is small precise and shiny. Blacksmithing is literally the opposite with functionality as the ultimate goal.

They did not make 9 rings for men and 7 for dwarfs, they were all made for elves. The elves took of all there rings when the one was made.Sauron captured the 16 he helped make and gave one to each dwarven kingdoms and the remaining 9 to men since he relized he would not be able to corrupt the elves

for as much $$$$ that Amazon has/is investing in this project/series,l would have insisted to have full access to Mr.Tolkein’s literature,otherwise the result would be half-assed(from what l understand other entities have the rights to his other works)🤔

That is the order the rings are forged in the TV series, it must be based on the poem. It is not based n the story.
@JaidynReiman2 ай бұрын
Yeah the order in the poem has nothing to do with the order they were actually forged in. The poem was made long after they were forged as a means to explain the purpose of them. (I think the poem actually exists in universe...)

For me, in this show not a damn little thing is coherent or logical. Its just this kind of bad trash TV one cant look away from, because you cant believe a human being could allow such trash to be shown. A genial tactic known for some decades now, but still working. Not to the benefit of society though, where people now are so used to trash entertainment that they wanna vote it for president again.

@@majkus Logic in Rings of Cringe: *Cringeron trespasses Mordor's border* -> Elves know it immediately because of "spies" *huge Orc army with heavy war machinery moves through Elvish territory to attack Eregion* -> no one cares because Adar activated the stealth mode so no one (not even the Guyladriator) can sense their presence
