AH isn't that great at acting, guy who played Christian Grey is quite talented. I saw a British TV show about a serial killer/sadistic rapist, and Jamie Dornan (I hope I spelled his name right) is playing him. He was so terrifying and good at it that I can't look at him without shuddering, remembering all the horror in that show.

I refuse to believe his background and family had nothing to do with “coincidentally” meeting an agent through a “friend of a friend”. Way too many rich people have to go out of their way to make themselves relatable and downplaying his family involvement in making it to make it seem like he made it himself without their explicit help seems bogus.

Amazon is one of the worst offenders for utterly destroying anything even vaguely resembling source material (looking at Rings of Power lol), so I’m interested to see how a project between Cavill and Amazon will work out as he’s so utterly passionate about 40k :o Maybe they’ll give him total creative control!!!! I’m sorry but I don’t get why this is even slightly hard to comprehend. In fact, coming from a background of extreme wealth just makes you more likely to be a hedonist and need to chase the dragon of pleasure, as money already gets you everything you need. Also you’re forgetting the biggest, most important piece of it all: a crazy brain will cause a crazy person no matter what background they come from. I guess the lesson is to be happy with what you do have because this fucking arm hammer guy clearly has uncontrollable psychotic tendencies LMAO.

I am not a Brie Larson hater but her picture came across as more of an advertisement of a cup than it did paying any kind of tribute. People shat on it when it released for numerous reasons, and it's mostly forgotten now- but I think the 2013 film The Lone Ranger was pretty damn solid as far as real Hollywood action movies go. The technical side of that film is ridiculous- so many practical sets/stunts/effects. The cinematography and music are damn good too, and while most of the criticisms came from the performances of Hammer and Depp for different reasons I think they were at least serviceable for a big dumb action movie that wasn't just CGI slop all over the screen.

Even tho the box office numbers were slightly higher than the budget, The Lone Ranger neither made money nor broke even. For a film to achieve that, it has to make about 3x its budget. The only thing I’m really questioning is why won’t she go under oath? 🤔 I mean if she has proof that these things happened and she so vehemently does this back and forth about articles or things media says about her, why would she not go under oath and say “This happened, I have the proof, let’s get this media circus over with.” I’ve been through a really horrible experience with an ex very similar to these allegations about what these women went through with A.H and if I had the receipts to go through with everything in a court of law, I wouldn’t think twice about going under oath, especially if there was so much added bullshit diluting the events. This was where it didn’t make sense. She claims talking about it (in a few circumstances) to be “too triggering” but wouldn’t the media circus and responding to articles be just as triggering? These are just questions at this point but definitely something to note in this strange case. As a survivor of r*** and SA, these are the things I don’t understand. I am not blaming her because I know how an imbalance in a sexual relationship can be incredibly tricky as well as damaging. This woman wanted to go to court but the whole penalty under perjury thing is what is holding her back? 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s very confusing.
@katiedickson0820
@katiedickson0820 6 ай бұрын
Also, I’m not in any way downplaying the perverted, weird crap that this man has been proven to have done, it’s effing SICK. I think if it wasn’t always consensual on the woman’s end, he truly believed it was, which is incredibly messed up and proves he’s very selfish and narcissistic in his odd sexual desires. The fact he was using all sorts of drugs most definitely would have amplified these desires as well and it’s frightening to think that if he was in a drug induced state and given the “opportunity” to cannibalize someone, it makes me wonder if he would have actually gone through with it. It’s gross that he even wanted to and vocalized that on several occasions. People that already have a warped mentality are often much more likely to act on those messed up desires while under the influence. Drugs don’t make you a creep, they make messed up people more confident to do the messed up shit they want to. That is scary af.

I don't think it is confusing. I think the whole thing is very traumatizing and facing off against someone in a court system that tends to be biased to men in these cases (conviction rates are horribly low), is enough to put anyone off. It's not fair to assume someone is lying just because they don't want to go through such a humiliating experience. It's not just signing a document, it's the aftermath of signing the document.

@@katiedickson0820 I wonder if it's because she knows AH and his legal team will just use DARVO against her. The relationship was toxic but it was a relationship nonetheless and at times both parties participated. They will bring out every message she ever wrote to him with all of the "I'm so super horny, I want to be your f***meat, I want you to fill all my holes" etc (where his response was "I can't do that now"). It will be beyond humiliating - it will be living through the trauma over and over again and having everything flipped around so that now AH is the real victim because she is just trying to destroy his life b/c :she's a bitter ex etc. They would argue that she had given consent to some acts and it was reasonable for him to believe that she consented to other acts based on her messages like "I want you to do whatever you want, choke me so I pass out" and so on. It's twisting what consent is and it's totally unfair and makes a mockery of SA victims who are often blamed for the horrific abuse they suffer. It might just be that the whole ordeal is too damaging to her health or maybe there are things we don't know about that she wants to keep private.

I'm only at the 3min mar, but I'm so distracted by Arnie's claims of getting ringworm on his foot. Most people, especially anyone using gym showers or living in humid areas, will get it. It's a fungal rash called athletes foot or tinea pedis. Did he mean to say hookworm? That is an actual parasite that can cause way more than dry cracked skin.

This story reminds me of some poly-addicted people I ran into as a bartender. As alluded to in AHS series, "Hotel" , it seems as if there really is an "Addiction Monster" that whittles away at a person's humanity. Addicts with lots of privilege (and physical attraction when young) sometimes take longer to hit bottom. I knew some people who were bar staff at Studio 54, and that was another type of atmosphere dangerous for people with compulsions and seemingly no natural "limits" to how far they were capable of going!

I don't really understand why you seem to be so skeptical of the victims in this case. There are many reasons why a victim of SA wouldn't testify in court other than lying: financial toll, fear of public persecution, and fear of re-traumatizing themselves as so often happens when you have to go over every detail of something that creates a lot of inner shame in front of a whole courtroom of people. Weird to me that you keep jumping back to her not testifying when we can only speculate on her reasons why. What's more concrete, however, are the mountains of text messages she produced from Armie, including the one which you read out loud where she said, "i'm sorry i couldn't do it, i kept crawling away from you and sobbing hysterically" and psycho-hammer replied not denying that this happened, but just saying how much he liked it? Like, my guy, that's assault right there and the dude didn't even deny it. Personally after that, I believe most anything that was said about him.

It’s weird for you to say “allegedly” a lot when multiple women came forward with screenshots of messages and photos and videos together to corroborate their accusations. All while he was married. You yourself say Armie Hammer has never provided any evidence to the public to support his claims *against* his victims. There’s even a video where Armie himself while showing his face, goes to a hotel room and a random woman in lingerie acting like furniture, being treated like a literal sex object. Something you also failed to mention was that in 2017, Call Me By Your Name was his biggest movie where he was a co-lead, yet Timothée Chalamet (a newcomer) got an Oscar nomination and Armie Hammer didn’t. Him cheating on his wife and abusing those women started around that time (2017) it’s likely Armie Hammer was feeling pressure and frustrated being overlooked. He’s been in Hollywood longer than Timothée Chalamet but Timothée got the Oscar nomination, not Armie. That probably must have hurt his ego and went on a downward spiral.
