At one point in time, it could be said that Adam Blampied was the face of wrestling KZbin. He was the main person on the top wrestling KZbin channel and was easily the most popular personality in the KZbin wrestling community. However that all came crashing down in 2017 following allegations of misconduct but he would make his shocking return years later, just for history to repeat itself. Join me today as we discuss the rise, fall, return and fall again of Adam Blampied.

For me, Adam Blampied's fantasy booking videos were the highlight of whatever channel he was on at the time. I love good storytelling and I love creativity. He deprived us of that when he pissed away his second chance like a damn fool. There won't be a third chance and he's got nobody to blame but himself. It's heartbreaking to see.

He NEVER did anything wrong 🤦🏻‍♂️ he exchanged nudes with women who openly and willingly participated back knowing that he never promised them anything in exchange. So why on earth must someone be canceled for texting multiple women WITH CONSENT. Only thing he did wrong was cheat on his girl which is another pathetic reason to cancel someone especially when so many other beloved wrestlers/athletes/celebrities and role models In General have done the exact same thing.

Agreed @20buck06 I don't know how so many people are dismissing that this time he denied the accusations. It wouldn't make sense for him to lie about it while once again stepping down from his role when he admitted everything the first time I truly believe people should be open to the fact that Carly made false accusations against him. I don't follow her so I have no idea if she's had drama in the past, but Adam's behavior is easy enough to give the benefit of the doubt if he says this time he's been falsely accused

Yeah no, I don't understand why ppl look up to people who talk about clothes and make up all day either, but a huge amount of people do. And on the topic of video essayists: I respect the amount of research and other work they put into their content (whether I agree with their points or not), but I don't "look up" to them. But most folks look for someone to follow, so they don't have to put in the work to form their personalities and belief systems and that's totally valid - as long as you're able to reflect that people are still people who can be wrong and not infallible super heroes.

I'm starting to think we'll never get another update on the Carley/Adam situation and more than that we'll never truly know for sure what happened. His first set of allegations were very cut and dry and his personal statement on the matter told you everything you needed to know about it but the second set from Adam's time at NRB are a lot more hazy. On the one hand Adam's post on Instagram definately read like he'd been given advice on what to say by a legal professional which would imply he's so resolute in his innocence he's fine to go to court to defend it - even more so when you consider his complete confession of guilt the first time around - but Carley has absolutely nothing to gain by lying and saying Adam had done something when he hadn't. They always seemed to get on very well in videos on NRB and her being in their videos gave her a lot of exposure she otherwise wouldn't have gotten. Her comments also imply she was aware of what he had done prior to whatever went down and was OK to be around him so long as the behaviour wasn't repeated, the fact NRB/PFK said they were also offering people free therapy sessions also points to Adam doing something he shouldn't have. I genuinely have no idea.

The Adam stuff is maybe the most overblown "KZbin controversy", at least based on what is public knowledge. The first time, he was lying to women about being in an open relationship to try get nudes off them, and leveraging his internet fame to do so. That's just being a creep not a predator. And the Carley stuff, absolutely nothing concrete has come out whatsoever. He left to keep people from slandering NRB, and work through the legal process. I'm the last person to defend KZbin creeps, and i especially think listening to women and their stories is really important, but something doesn't sit right with me. The whole situation seems very strange to begin with. As many others said, the first time he left, it was because of asking other women for pictures of themselves. While they might've been consensual, he could've also been abusing his status to get them. Furthermore, he was in a relationship already, which doesn't really make him seem like a good person. However, he admitted that he has a problem and wanted to be better. Whatever the case was for that, he took responsibility, and chose to step away and get help. The second time it was different. He very clearly denied that he was doing anything inappropriate and if he was actually guilty, I don't think he would've done that. Especially considering the fact that he was going to step away anyway, which makes it seem more likely that he did that to protect WrestleTalk from backlash and handle legal matters. Normally, when an alcoholic or a drug addict relapse, they don't deny it, which makes me think that he is innocent on this one and the person accusing him simply wanted more to gain, whether it'd be money, fame, etc.. But I suppose we won't know until we hear the full story.

There is one MAJOR factual inaccuracy within your summation that must be addressed. Neither Carley nor anyone else has publicly insinuated that Adam’s copy/paste behavior was directed at Carley. She states she knows someone is predatory/problematic, and later confirms it is Adam with copy/paste behavior. Nowhere in her statement does she imply who was on the receiving end. Many people assumed it was Carley since she made the statement and there was an undeniable on-air chemistry between the two, but this could very easily be her speaking on behalf of another person. She might have heard this accusation and seen evidence from a fan who didn’t want to come forward. It could have been another cast member. We do not know. It is both false and dangerous to say matter-of-factly that she was the target of Adam’s accused behavior.

Adam Blampied got me into wrestling KZbin. The dude was just so good at what he did with his humor, wit, creativity, and sarcasm really making me a fan. I haven't really watched his videos since he left again, and I'm debating if I'm going to or not again. My takeway from this video is how completely opposite these situations are: The first one is pretty cut and dry. He asked other women for nudes while in a relationship. He admitted to doing this, accepted full responsibility, promised to be better, and voluntarily stepped away to do so. The second one has a lot of gray area imo. He was accused by Carley of sexual harassment basically, and he walked way again... but he claimed his innocence. He had already shown that he can take accountability during the first situation, so it's possible that he would've done the same here if he truly did something wrong. From my view, he voluntarily walked away again because he knew that his past indiscretions would not give him any credibility towards defending himself. However, has Carley come out with anything further regarding what happened between her and Adam? It's absolutely believable that Adam could've slipped back into his old habits, but there's no way that she just made that kind of allegation against a man with that reputation without anything concrete to support it. IF Adam did something wrong again, he should never come back because he got a second chance and squandered it. But Idk if coming back would be smart for him even IF he IS ever proven innocent against Carley. Hopefully, the truth comes out one day.

I'll be honest, I'm normally not one to take someone like Adam's side on this but I do feel that the second thing was very odd. Like, first time round... he totally held his hands up. There was no real attempt to hang on, he got called out and was like... yeah ok I can see this has been a pretty shitty way to act. Whilst I did think the timing was interesting (for it to come out just days before Cultaholic launch when he was pretty much to be the face of them) was definately convienient, theres no doubting that what happened happened and he pretty much took full responsbility for it. He walked away to save the guys who he worked with rather then trying to fight it (although, he was very clearly bang to rights and admitted as much.) Second time seems to purely be based on one person making exceptionally vague references, Adam completely denies it but also makes absolutely no attempt to fight his corner and just leaves to save everyone else the scandal. I'm not gonna start creating situations as to what may or may not have happened, but it seemed very, very different to the first situation, bar the fact that he fell on his sword because he realised the accusations would destroy everything people besides himself have worked for.

Looks like carley basically declined to work on the show because Adam was showing unprofessional behavior, and for all we know this could be a one off which made her very uncomfortable, or a pattern with other female collaborators and staff. But people are demanding receipts, when really, they don't deserve them. It's dealt internally. Don't be. The video purposely leaves out a very valuable and pertinent piece of information that, with just one search, took me all of a minute to find a whole minute and completely debunks this video. So as reported by popculture on December 23rd 2023 2.26am by John Connor Coulston The announcement came on Sept 12th with both the company and the quzzlemania host issuing statements. While the allegations and findings of the investigation into Blampied are unclear the parties came to a mutual agreement to part ways. And there we have it. Do I condone his prior behaviour? Of course not. Did he own said behaviour, apologise for it agree to do better? Yes, he did. Was an allegation or allegations made by Carley? Yes, it was. We're these allegations followed up by an investigation? Yes, they were. We're these allegations found to be true after said investigation? Findings of the investigation into Blampied are unclear.... So, can I completely debunk this video with a satisfactory margin of error based on an educated guess and limited research? Yes, I can. I'd say with very limited research, I'm about 80 plus percent positive. Findings below. So a man Mr Blampied had prior form for indecent behaviour towards women. From Mr Blampied himself, I believe, hence his step away from KZbin. He then comes back being given a second chance, and someone with much vagueness alleges misconduct again one Carley. Going by the above video and what Carley herself wrote regarding whether or not she would return to the shown she says no because it doesn't align with her values. She does not give any statement of factual evidence but she alleges and I quote "It is all incredibly sad, and makes me sick as seeing abuse within a community I adore is very very hard to stomach" A serious allegation indeed. I emphasise allegation as we now have an article above by popculture that they conducted an investigation but findings were unclear. Now, at the time again, this is an educated guess here, but I'm assuming that after Carleys' allegations, because of Blampieds' prior behaviour and because of the (here's my assumption/educated guess) rabid response on social media calling instantly for Blampieds head, rather than publishing the findings of the investigation and holding their position, they took the easy option as most do and caved to the court of public opinion and Blampied realising the damage had already been done decided to bow out. Now in summary I'll start by stating that we live in the age of misinformation. It is far easier to get something wrong and be liked than it is to get something right and be hated. Do I think Blampied is perfect? No I don't. No one is perfect. Blampied made mistakes as we all do he acknowledged them, apologised for his actions and agreed to do better. Now I do find it very ironic even poetic that Carley says something along the lines of allowing people to change to grow and improve themselves like she's had that chance too etc I'm not quoting her verbatim this has already turned into work lol. Charity work I might add since I'm not getting paid. We live in the age of misinformation always question everything even me because unlike the author of the video I don't have that much hubris to admit I'm wrong. Thank youfor reading if you got this far and I expect this comment to get deleted. Take care mate.

Carley reported behavior of Adams which doesn't have to be illegal or immoral. All it has to do is be a red flag. At that point you decide as a company is this a one off, a pattern, a misunderstanding or future public lawsuit. Without further information, seems like Adam got trusted with responsibility, but now there is a trust issue.

@philwill0123 Oh yeah, I agree that's definitely a likely possibility. Employment law is a very intricate beast with many complexities and moving parts. I just feel that it sets a dangerous precedent when someone can just allege something without any evidence to back it up but when it comes to making money and having your own business money rarely tends to care about feelings. A good rebuttal, with foresight and intellect. Appreciate your comment. Thank you, mate 😊

I agree. Something seems off about this. Carly's responses are a bit strange to me. She says that she believes the staff at NRB, WT, and PFK are good people but then goes on to say that she won't support them personally and that their values don't align? Her values seemed to align with everyone's just fine for a long time. Cutting people off for simply working at the same place as a harasser seems like an extreme reaction to some sexual harassment in the workplace.

At least, that's my interpretation from how she wrote things down - it's not worded very well, as you say. It's tough, and I'd like to hope that having stepped away the first time he had learned his lesson - it's why people were willing to take a chance on him again and embraced him as a figure on KZbin once more. I would like him to be innocent of whatever it is that he's been specifically accused of - but the time taken on this and the lack of anything coming out about it suggests it's not that simple.

Discovered his “How WWE should’ve booked….” and “Booking the 2017 Royal Rumble” videos while in a whatculture rabbit hole from reviewing weekly episodes of WWE and various top 10 lists. Fantastic fantasy booker and narrator and his top 10 lists were fantastic. And I loved him more when he came back to WrestleTalk/PFK, especially on the PFK TTRPG series. And Surivial Series?? He was the best villain for that series. Was sad he fell into his personal demons again and I hope he gets the help he needs and comes back a reformed man (for good this time) and maybe come back to the wrestling KZbin world

Yeah. I don't normally "pick sides" in these sorts of drama situations, especially when the details are so sparse, but Carley seriously needs to be held to a higher standard of evidence and it makes me sick that she isnt. She came out with extremely vague accusations that can potentially destroy this man's career and (it's heavily implied) had caused him to be required to take legal action for defamation, but her only evidence is vague ramblings about past behavior and her word. She provided absolutely zero receipts and the whole reason this came about was because she chose to reply to a comment asking her why she didn't work with NRB, which she didn't need to reply to at all. The whole situation is ridiculous once you realize how little evidence there is against Adam and how this messed up his career, but nobody even mentions Carley and her part in it.

It wouldnt make sense that, if the same issues came up again 6 years later, that he wouldnt be honest again. To me, that leaves some benefit of the doubt that hes telling the truth that in the newer situation he was being slandered. I havent followed Carly's work much and only saw her in a couple of the No Rolls Barred videos so i have no idea of her level of honesty.
