⚠️ Really important to mention : I’m pretty sure the band did announce it was was their final tour in 2014, I simply misunderstood and now it makes much more sense with Hector’s statement ! My bad 😅 Again, thank you so much for watching ! 🙏🏻This one was BY FAR the most requested video so I'm very stoked to release it! 😊 Also, here's my brand's website : xtheyan.com 👕

What up Yan!.. im born and raised in CT, and grew up in the hayday of New England hardcore/meatalcore in the mid 90s and early 00s.. I saw ur MySpace band vids and it brought me right back to my early 20s , surfing MySpace for new bands… I’d LOVe if you did even a short vid on one of my most influential metalcore bands… the one & only - Mortal Treason. One of the 1st to do it and influence me. Keep it up! 👍 hc/mc for life!

Allegiance remains one of my favourite deathcore albums, and I still rock an ABRB shirt to this day🤘 Hector is a truly amazing drummer, and I sincerely hope he continues to make music. Last I checked he was a videographer or something. I’m praying for the day a new album drops seeing as their 2021 teaser was very promising.

Been a long time coming with this video. Back when I lived in Bakersfield California, As Blood Runs Black performed at the Jerry's Pizza Pub in downtown. My and my little brother got to meet them for the very first time. I got him into this band and at one point during the gig, the vocalist asked him what song he would like for them to play and he told them My Fears Have Become Phobias. It was a fun memorable moment for both of us. This band is what got me into Deathcore in the first place and My Fears Have Become Phobias was the very first deathcore song I've fully mastered on the drums at the age of 16 ^^

My first death core show was at an indoor skate park called Alpine (originally Skate Street!) the listing headlined As Blood Runs Black, Born of Osiris, Winds of Plague, Belay My Last, and I can't remember who else but I believe it was late '06/early 07' and I was completely and utterly captivated, genuinely changed me from mass inspiration.

i believe it was impending doom my friend. Although, it may have been a band with a female screamer? One of the best shows i have ever seen. I saw it where im at and it introduced me to impending doom (i think) who is still top 2 bands for me all time. The 2nd biggest crowd i ever saw at my local venue. And i saw everybody who was anybody from that time and this specific tour was MASSIVE. absolutely unexplainable

yeah it was actually Walls Of Jericho, my bad. Still though, the show was an absolute monster and couldnt have been any bigger. Absolutely packed from wall to wall, we couldnt even stand in our regular spot and had to stand off to the right way closer to the speakers than i ever liked, we got tossed around too the pit was so big. Its hard to even understate how big As Blood Runs Black was back then. One of a kind, the kind of hype you just dont see anymore. Although, when Lorna Shore released To the hellfire and that whole album, thats about as close a modern thing as i can compare it too. Bigger than you though was possible and people OUTSIDE of the deathcore circles were talking about them. Wild times for sure. Thanks for the time machine guys, what a fun time to relive

You really should do arsonists get all the girls. This is not an original thought, a lot of people have said this but you gotta admit... some of those keyboard breakdowns on the game of life album are some of THE best ever. Claiming middle age a decade early, tiawanese troft trouble, robando de les muertos or whatever, all such great songs by a band that truly was ahead of the game and has aged beautifully.

Another thing to note is during the release of Ground Zero (which was funded via crowdfunding), ABRB and whoever partnered with them to ship merch and physical CD’s did not fulfill there orders so a lot of us who pre ordered the album and merch, NEVER received our order. My first time seeing ABRB live was in Perris Ca at a backyard show. They played with suicide silence too. both bands were just coming up and it was a random Thursday no one really showed up haha. I remember it being so cold that when they started playing hester Prynne the guitarist couldn't move his fingers that fast and the tempo was slow. Christ got frustrated and made them start the song all over again. I think they were mad because they drove so far just for a crowd of 20 people but they played anyways. Good memories

Castle Ultimate was the studio all the upcoming NorCal metal bands wanted to record at! I remember With Passion had recorded their deput there and that band/album is still in my top 5 to this day. My band wanted to record our demo there but couldn’t afford it so we went with a guy in Sacramento who did the whole thing in one session for $120. It wasn’t great but it sure felt cool to have something on wax. The ABRB style was huge in those days (2004-05) and honestly it still holds up IMO. Those were the best days!

You did it 😢!!!! I first saw them in late 06’ and again at the first summer slaughter. And jfc it was a battle every time to enjoy the show and have fun in the pit becuz all the metal heads there kept starting fights with ppl who were slamming. And it’s just ironic becuz when instinct came out those same metal heads were all of a sudden into them. Typical metal community behavior. It’s just a shame what became of them becuz I think if they could’ve kept it together they could’ve became huge. Those shows in 06 and 07 were insane. I miss them and I miss that atmosphere. I hope they are all doing well for themselves and living healthy happy lives

Some context: After 2000 more and more metalcore bands started introducing long clean sung parts in their songs, chasing after the success of bands like evergreen terrace. Some of us kids just noped out of there, stripped the clean parts, added the most monstreous breakdown imaginable back then and there u go: myspace deathcore starting around 2003.

Saw them almost weekly in 2004. They’ve been through so many lineups. John Mishima wrote the lyrics for in dying days and Hester prynne and was their singer back then, same guy you hear doing guest vocals of winds of plague songs like chest and horns, California, as well as other songs. Band should have been bigger than any other band, but due to inconsistent band members, and not hitting that allegiance level of music, people stopped caring.

I'm still learning riffs from the allegiance album 😅 These guys deserve a lot of praise. I sometimes rewatch their FPE TV video

I don't remember what year it was but I saw them play in Fresno at a place that used to be called "The Exit". I saw As Blood Runs Black along with Animosity. Two of my favorite bands!

I didn't know Baron was their manager, but he was the founder of Mediaskare, so makes sense that's who they signed with.

It's funny you made this now because I just started listening to the album on repeat again yesterday😂 (allegiance) when I got into deathcore (coming from just straight metal like God Forbid and Lamb Of God) allegiance had already been put for at least a few months. And then my first show Animosity and as blood runs black headlines. Molotov solution opened up for them. It was at chain reaction in california. It was such a good show. Then I didn't see them again until 2007 at summer slaughter and their sound was off. It bummed me out so bad. The drums were super loud and you couldn't hear the guitars. I believe those are the only two times I've seen them. The bands I've seen the most at that time were Elysia, whitechapel, knights of the abyss, winds of plague, molotov solution, suicide silence, and through the eyes of the dead. All my other favorite bands I've seen once or twice

I saw them about 3 times, in Houston, during their Allegiance era. Those were the days. I was able to witness the early uprising of some many deathcore bands. ABRB’s Allegiance album will always be a staple of deathcore. It was a totally bummer when their momentum slowed because they were never really able to get it back to same level. There was and will not be another band that can get close to recreating their sound. A positive mention is that their drummer and bassist were consistently throwing down fat beats and standing out from the rest of the deathcore scene.

I don't know if it's necessary, but I would be curious to see how you'd do with breakdown of sanity. Idk of there's much to say about them but, if you haven't heard them, the mirrors album is a masterpiece, and the 2 albums after are also amazing, but mirrors is pure bliss!
