Funny thing about the quote you used, it is originally Kane's, although modified. Kane once said to Umagon, 'It is time you saw the future, while you still have human eyes'. Of course Kane was talking about Divination and CABAL is talking about assimilation. I think this is because Kane and CABAL are starting to become one. Crazy to think about. Kane lives in death!

@S G Say what you want Cabal was way more charismatic than Skynet - Both were capable of great planning and inteligence but Cabal was more scary on it's own. Skynet was just cold and calculating Cabal was both but with a mean streak on top of it. I still remember a line from the Tiberian Sun - "Define favorable outcome Cabal" and Cabal said gleefully 'They all DIE". Something outrageous just happened. I have EVA set up as sounds in Windows and when Cabal was at the beginning "Cabal... Online", EVA just interrupted him. It sounded something like: "Cabal - On Hold" (Eva said "On Hold").

CABAL wasn't just a computer, he was a reprogrammed Scrin AI, hence his appearance in tiberium sun. In firestorm, the global ion storm causes that suppressed side to emerge, and it combines with kane's subconscious thoughts, resulting in his new appearance and murderous rampage. My take anyways.

@Dostoron CABAL was actually LEGION's prototype. After it was apparent that a system like CABAL would work they created a new AI with a few improvements. And CABAL can't return because he was destroyed, the few pieces that were left of him were integrated into LEGION not long after the Rio insurrection.

That's true. In the tiberian sun game it is. In the firestorm expansion, when playing NOD, you get CABAL's voice at first, but when he betrays you, you need to capture a EVA uplink piece from the GDI radar, so you'll get an EVA building voice. In skirmish however, you always have a CABAL voice when playing the NOD side. (Played the game a week ago so i know 8-D )

This tribute is great. Even me, who is not a fan of Command and Conquer, find this video great. I think it works better with just images of Cabal rather than gameplay footage; this way it leaves more to the imagination.

The GDI mission where you went around and warned people sucked. I mean why didn't they run with my army? It would've made storming the Cyborg plant a LOT easier. Those Cyborg reapers are creepy, especially the whole "assimilation" prospect it brought. I severally doubt that GDI command could've lost touch with the Philadelphia for the ENTIRE DURATION OF THE CAMPAIGN. Ion cannons would've reduced all of Cabal's factories to Scraps.

Well, there still is NEXUS from Warzone 2100. He's definetily on par with CABAL as the more aggressive and emotional AI, you never heard a computer gloat and laugh manically unless you heard NEXUS, although CABAL is just as awesome in his cold calculating way.
