I was a Sophomore in Highschool when this game came out. I was in electronics class and saw some other students playing this game in the lab. Already a big fan of C&C I approached them to see the new C&C game. At the time I had never seen something so wickedly evil. That UI voice for NOD, the Cyborg Commander with his legs blown off crawling across the map with his arms to continue the fight. The music so despairingly dark. This game was truly amazing! I will say its a cultural masterpiece. This remix with the screenshot is no different. Thanks to all for expanding my imagination.

I love reading a comment like this, hits home. I was in middle school when the game came out. I'd only played the N64 version of the original but Picked Tiberian Sun up at Kmart. The dark atmosphere of this entry in the series made it my fave for sure. Red Alert 2 had some good music too, but this soundtrack has always been my favorite.

Man, I used to build maps for this game to its OST. I haven't done that in what feels like decades. This track in particular, was always first in the list when I would launch into the game. It has equal parts nostalgia for map making, map testing, and the opening minutes of skirmish games.

Parts of this song conjure up memories of actual tanks I’ve seen for some reason. A Ukrainian T-72 MBT rolling away during the more recent war in Donbass region there, or video from inside the turret of an American Abrams MBT. I suppose it’s because of the Mammoth tanks in the thumbnail and the mechanical sound of the track itself.

Other than that, they settle in the Yellow Zones so it's mostly Scrin in the Red Zones.

you really need good, large enough speakers or a subwoofer for this song. if i play it on my galaxy J3 the entire pulsating base in the beginning just vanishes cause the tiny speaker just cant create that frequency^^
