Yea; personalized, social media, industry, corporate and government 24/7 chat bots are going to be fascinating. They will become as accessible as filters on social media or emojis. Of course the more high performing options will most likely have a subscription cost. This is more examples of what will most likely be a future where all you need is a wearable device, fold device, cellphone that will educate you from elementary school to college level, be your partner in business or entrepreneur startup, be your assistant, etc for life. The problem is will everyone on Earth have access to these all in one coming super devices in the future? Will there be a tech have and have nots? Tech minorities?

It’s interesting that chat bots like ChatGPT and Bard can be just as confidently wrong as people are. I think more than anything, guidelines and training to protect to protect our privacy and society at large would be beneficial. We didn’t get that with smartphones and social media. We just jumped in without thinking. These big tech companies knew what the issues were did little to nothing until they were forced to. I would hope things could be different this time. Instead of chasing profit margins, let’s put the actual needs of humanity first.

Yep! This is a huge emerging challenge. Because it could speed up second order automation. Your insights stay with the firm via your AI

It's the "Agentive" aspect that jumps out at me as the possible entry point of a Trouble Funnel (Not sure if that's a term. lol) Is it possible that your Bot is going to mistakenly enter you into an important agreement-in-principle with another person/entity, or Their Chatbot by their word(s) response choice, or what IT thinks is 'Best For YOU"? To what degree will the creators be sure that your Digital Twin won't be hacked, and intentionally get you into some very big trouble? How open are they going to be with the public about the possible side effects to what they're prescribing? They gotta get it right.

We will likely have rules that bots can’t sign significant contracts. Similar to how Ai can’t own a patent. But all important things to be thinking through now !

for me the solution to this might look something like Docusign, where they've got a crapton of metadata built into that digital signature to ensure the correct person is signing, and at least if there's fraud they have a clear digital trail they can follow to track down where it went wrong. for example, i would be in favor of a digital signature left by my ai for any lower level decision making and some kind of settings panel that lets me say YES to my ai assistant adding things to my calendar and to my grocery list, but NO to actually approving the final checkout by the Instacart shopper. YES to scheduling my oil change. YES to posting pictures of the car I want to sell to auto trader type sites. YES to negotiating the price with potential buyers. NO to accepting the final deal to sell it, not without my express prompted approval.

Damn, Black Mirror already showed the perils of this with Miley Cyrus. Are you also liable for the wrong-doings/errors of the your ai-chatbot? I can see that maybe a generic help function to a website/phone call wouldn't be liable, but something that is directly based on your likeness and voice and manners/habits and your approval?

Great question. It’s where explainability and transparency in Ai are really important. If you can show that your AI went rogue and you didn’t incentivize the behavior, you likely wouldn’t be liable. But if you started training your AI on questionable material, or removing safeguards, I’d imagine that’s a different story
