@@joaogomes9405 No, not really. It was Micah who insisted on robbing that ferry in Blackwater. He's clearly very self centered and it's really obvious that, aside from Abigail (very briefly at that too), he didn't give 2 shits about the other gang members, especially the minorities. He's not very bright either; he suggested there's a rat in the gang during Chapter 6. That's a lot of attention he brought to a problem he's directly involved in for no good reason. During American Venom, Dutch says "Same as you, I suppose" to John, who was in a standoff against Micah. Micah didn't catch on to Dutch's not so subtle hint. It's more or less Dutch's failing mental health as a result to the events leading up to RDR2. The failed bank robbery in St Denis resulting in Hosea's death was the icing on the cake. Remember that Micah cares about himself and only himself. He cut a deal with the Pinkertons that allowed him to abuse Dutch on a fake promise that he wouldn't swing.

I thought the scene where agent Milton and Ross show up at the camp outside of Rhodes was a better showcase of that bond. All of them, their wonders about Dutch and his slipping grip on himself, still went to arms to defend him and show that they aren't just some pushovers that will bend a knee over a promise to freedom. Micah was such an effective antagonist bcs he managed to tore up the gang and manipulate Dutch forcing him to break his long maintained loyalty with the older members of the gang by exploiting his weakness, ego. He appealed to Dutch’s inner desires every turn of the way to advance his own agenda because he knew the only thing that truly kept Dutch moving was his firm ideals, so Micah kept the fire raging which managed to engulf the entire gang in the process. Hate Micah all you want but he truly is one antagonist that you just love to hate for all the right reasons.

I have a feeling that's why we never see Mac Calendar... RDR3 main protagonist...? I agree with you on the story for the most part. The opening cutscenes should show the development of the gang including John's acceptance into the gang, as well as maybe a few others. The main story will begin with the new main protagonist (again, perhaps Mac, but could be someone entirely new) and throughout the game play the other members are introduced and join the gang. The only problem is that in order to keep with tradition, they would have to have the main protagonist die and allow you to play in an epilogue as Arthur Morgan, which would be nearly impossible if the game includes the Blackwater massacre, since they immediately flee into the Grizzlies afterword. So, most likely it will not be Mac, but someone else who dies shortly before the Blackwater heist, and we will finally be able to play freely as Arthur in New Austin and all of West Elizabeth.

I'm so stupidly emotionally attached to this game, it's pathetic but so awesome at the same time 😂 Its my favourite story ever, including books, movies, series, the lot. I was blown away by every aspect of the game. I remember being stoned out my tree crying like a wimp on that last horse ride 😂😂 It's some emotional stuff. This is a great video, well presented and interesting the whole way through. I literally got that sinking feeling hearing about Arthur and Dutch.

I had questions about when some members joined, and for what reason( Specifically Pearson, Molly, Reverend and Uncle ), and hearing the origins, and how they actually helped the poor by giving away their score in the beginning, it really puts a perspective on the gang. such a great game with really well developed characters, I have felt legitimately angry over how the government just betrayed John after being their errand boy for a year, or the callousness of Dutch's betrayal of Arthur during both the oil fields raid and on the mountain near Beaver Hollow like I felt actual anger, I think that emotion from me is a testament to how well the game is written

I’ve always fantasised about a 3rd entry in the series being similar to the movie Young Guns, where you see the “Regulators” form, I’m almost certain R* took inspiration from that movie because there’s a scene where they save Billy the kid from local law and how it plays out reminds me a lot of John’s introduction to the gang. Seeing Dutch and Hosea travelling through the states slowly meeting younger versions of the characters we’ve come to know and form a gang would be amazing
