Ideally, that would be the best course of action for both him and Napoli. However, you know the world of football doesn't operate this way. Napoli will set a high price tag, a mega-club will pay it and Osimhen will leave because the financial incentives and the opportunity to play on the biggest stage, will be a prospect too great to ignore. I would personally love for him to stay at Napoli, but I don't think it will happen.

@@connorledwith98 Very fair point, but all three left for much less than their worth and hadn't amassed the titles to show for it. I doubt De Laurentis will make the same mistakes again. Top clubs will come in for Osimhen and Kvara. Napoli will set huge prices and clubs will pay them. They'll win Serie A this year, that's enough for a club like Napoli to eat off of for another 5 years or so (no disrespect intended). They don't have the financial muscle of Juve, Inter, Milan etc. They have to sell assets.

The most fascinating aspect of the Masked Striker Victor Osimhen is how mad he gets at his team mates for cooling off the tempo of the game when he is taken out of play to the bench. Please do one on Rasmus Höjlund. He has gone from being 3rd choice striker at Copenhagen to being one of the hottest young strikers in Serie A with Atalanta. All within a year. Probably the fastest player development I have ever seen, both in terms of abilities and career. He was also sold from Copenhagen in January 2022 for €1.8 million and just 6 months later sold for €17 million by Sturm Graz to Atalanta. He is now valued at around €40 million by Italian media. There must be some Directors at Copenhagen rubbing their heads...

Amazing video! Osi is a great guy first and a monster on the pitch second. He plays with his heart and it shows, he is truly loved here, and when he'll leave in the next window it will be a sad day. Just one quick easy to miss fact: he doesn't need the mask to play anymore, his eye socket is not at risk anymore (while obviously being a bit weakened). He chooses to play with the mask as he thinks it brings him luck, and I think it's a killer marketing strategy as well. He's our masked vigilante 🦸‍♂️

If you want a reason on why he will realistically move this summer, it's his wage. Napoli's ownership want to stay away from debt as much as possible, and a renewal would mean a greater wage. Thus selling him is a win/win situation, getting rid of one of the biggest wages in the club, while getting a humongous amount of money in the process... Just to be clear, I hope he stays. If he joins one of the traditional super teams the media is not going to play dumb and avoid showing what he truly is: one of the best strikers on the planet at this moment
