I can emphasize with Zamorak, but I feel his lack of patience with Zaros was uncalled for. Zaros went on a deep interpersonal journey, and I honestly feel that he learned a lot from it judging simply by the dialog options given in fate of the gods. Had everyone not defected, and shared azzanadra's patience, I feel we could have potentially seen a completely different, better vision for all of gielinor.

i would agree though there are some new developments with the story that might paint Zaros in a bit of a different picture.

Zaros never cared about the Empire and even if he really cared about fulfill his promises to Mahjarrat and the Dragon Riders he never dedicated any time to do it. Sometimes he dissappear for decades, maybe centuries, that's why the Empire had to run by itself, meanwhile, some Demons, Vampires and ofc Mahjarrat are getting impatient. Imagine, those immortal races are getting impatient, if it happened they had a good reason for it. Even tho Zamorak is seeing as "evil" and selfish, he really care about others of his own race, even the ones that hate him, he showed it over and over again by actions, while Zaros was mainly promises and empty words.

Avrah this has CRIMINALLY few views. I really hope you continue to do these. With the recent lore drops in a night at the theater and sins of the father, I'm starting to wonder if there might be at least small eastern connections to raids 3, despite the desert locale.

@@Avrah well night at the theater specifically mentions “the stone” as known to the OSRS vampires. There also seems to be a faction (of vampires I think?) opposed to the mory vamps, investigating their power. I’m curious if one has a loyalty to zamorak and the other doesn’t, or what that opposition is. We also know that there is a nylon faction that wishes to usurp the vampires, which means vampires might be in need of a greater power. In short a lot of potentially at odds forces, while something new and powerful is being unearthed in the desert with a connection to some of them. Edit: hard to put into words but it feels like there are a lot of powerful groups and ancient connections, combined with the recent release of this info in quests, that it might be leading to something.

Hey, I loved this - and not just because I make my own reenactments of lore. I was thinking of making an explainer vid myself just like this one. I definitely think yours is more canonical than what I would have envisioned, as in my lore depictions I've taken creartive liberties admittedly, such as making Sliske and the Secret Police far more brutal than was explicitly specified in canon. I also depicted most of the Zarosian Military as being in practice loyal to Zamorak before Zaros, as factionalism runs rampant in totalitarian regimes. So I would never have thought about the Hallowland diversion. That said, I think something you missed or could have elaborated more on was Zamorak's ideological basis for betraying his master. Zamorak is at his core an anarchist, who believes that all order and peace do is hold people back from their full potential, and is thus "inefficient". It's not unreasonable to surmise he developed this belief from serving and witnessing 2000 years of this continuous inefficiency in the fascist dictatorship of Zaros. Save for maybe Saradomin, Zaros's regime was the near polar opposite of the world Zamorak envisioned. Perhaps he became so fed up with the system that the only way out he saw was to take the extreme opposite view. People have a tendency to overcorrect, and such an extreme example of overcorrecting in my opinion indicates the severity to which he was traumatized by his service to Zaros.
@Avrah
@Avrah 2 жыл бұрын
very well thought out comment. It's hard to say if i agree Zamorak was an anarchist as the Zarosian empire was in decline and Zaros himself was absent from it's leadership. To me there is a lot of similarities between the fall of Senntisten and the fall of Rome. Apathetic leadership and corruption. I hate to say it but i don't remember everything i talked about in this video as it's a year old.

Lore thought - Considering Jas has shown the ability to overpower any "God's are unable to teleport ya unless you want it" blocks Guthix gave you - Do you reckon once the Elder God Wars continue to escalate the Elder Gods might decide to personally try to exterminate The World Guardian to stop them from interfering any more as they grow more desperate...if so that might be an interesting quest: Having to figure out a way to not just get snatched up and atomized by them when they decide you've been a big enough thorn for long enough. Cause if they grow desperate enough, and it's within their ability to do...why would they let you continue running around all willy nilly? Makes sense for them to eventually take a stab at eliminating the World Guardian if Senntisten continues to withstand their assault.
@Avrah
@Avrah 3 жыл бұрын
As i recently did both Desperate times and desperate measures they talk about how you are imbued with shadow anima as that was part of the gift Guthix gave you to withstand the power of the gods. I suspect jagex will use this as a way to keep the Elder Gods from being able to just squash you as you are potentially very dangerous to them, like a poison. Perhaps they are unsure how to deal with you. if i had to guess though we will kind of "lose" to the elder gods before the final elder god (6th elder god) reveals himself and potentially destroys them. but hey xD that's just a wild thought.
@videocrowsnest5251
@videocrowsnest5251 3 жыл бұрын
@@Avrah Even if shadow anima is quite dangerous to the Elder Gods you still need a lot of it to pose a threat. Unless, the batch the World Guardian is imbued with by Guthix is an incredibly concentrated and potent form of it. It will be interesting to see how this particular plot point gets addressed because there has to be some explanation for why they don't just beam us up and atomize us. Then again I am pretty sure you are correct in the Elder Gods being unsure of how to act exactly because this kind of defiance has never happened before, and they exist in an Ouroboros sort of loop with cycles of the universe and all. So unexpected and new challenges probably are to them quite shocking, especially when they can't just fix it by Deus ex machinaing the problem away, such as with their eggs being taken as hostages. I mean, it says a lot when Jas, the most powerful known one of their number, basically just threw a bunch of enslaved Dragonkin to the fold with a bound but still risky to use due to his past antics Kerapac.
