This was Dan Campbell levels of a ballsy call. And the fact Fluery is staying with us gives me hope as a Wild fan.

I know Federov does this in the KHL, I wonder if the ruling is the same for losing the match.

i was waiting for that moment cause its such a videogame move. and honestly i believe in it- as long as the team youre facing isnt the kinda team that can dish from their zone .

I remember you talking about that other OT empty net situation. Crazy it actually worked.

I do too! But for the life of me I couldn’t find the exact video in which I spoke about it! Glad someone else remembered. This video wasn’t planned at all until it happened in real time XD. Just an extra piece of content to provide to y’all. It’s so wild that it actually worked! Thank you sm for watching !

@@idontgivetkachuk you can count on me to remember stuff like that 😉 it was "Most Confusing Moments in NHL History" from 11/28/21.

To me, the only time I would understand if a team did this is if they were in a position where they needed a regulation or OT win to stay alive and a shootout win eliminates them. Sure it did work out for the Wild, but it also seemed like a ridiculously high risk move.

I would put MONEY on Heines not knowing they would forfeit the extra point rule until AFTER the game and he shrugged it off, because it worked.

In a NCAA division 3 mens ice hockey, Plattsburgh Cardinals vs Fredonia, in overtime, Fredonia pulled the goalie, Plattsburgh would still win the game, but Fredonia still got a point, but Fredonia still pulled the goalie, they also needed the win, or else their season would have been over, a tie wouldn't have been enough.

At this point the predators need to get rid of sarous there's no excuse to leave your team high and dry like that this isn't the first time he's done this

@@0yal569 still when it comes to the high pressure situations he messes up badly I remember in the 2020 bubble when he just stood there and let Arizona get a goal off of a rebound he did the same thing against Tampa Bay the dude has no hockey IQ
