My favourite jam of the summer :)
My old tune The River with myself looping my original guitar riff accompanied by the amazingly talented guitarists Sam Bell on the left @SamBellGuitar and Pete Ferguson in the centre. Such a privilege.

I love the forgiving, progressive style of this music. Anything you three do is adding onto what the others do and it all evens out and sounds good no matter the slight intricate and unique directions you each take in the music! Just keeps going and getting better and better, I love that in music :)

Good idea But if you recorded from a distance Like do the same thing but set the microphone away from the amp And try and record the sound of nature first then then have the music in the background grow -or you could have someone with a microphone walk a perimeter around the band and have the breaking of twigs and rustling of leaves play with the music

So a few months ago I bought a drone synth pedal from Manco Labs called Grone. It was the first knob twisty synthesis opportunity I've had and it's fascinated me since. Anyway, I bought a rechargeable 20 Watt amp with onboard 9v power outputs for the express purpose of making drones in the woods. Kinda crazy to me that there is a channel called drone-in-the-woods & it popped up in my feed today. I don't think I've really spoken to anyone about my intent, how/why did the algorithm know to suggest this?? Glad it did though, great stuff.

I'm gonna have to take a look at that pedal! How many 9V outputs does your amp have? I'd love to know if you get any noise/ground issues between different bits of kit being used at the same time.

@@droneinthewoods the amp was inexpensive and made my Caline, 3 9v outputs. I'm pairing the Manco Grone with a Fairfield Circuitry 900 fuzz and a Old Blood Noise BL-37 reverb. The amp is a portable guitar amp so doesn't really deliver the low frequencies the Grone is able to produce but it's still fun to jam with.

very coo! I think it would be interesting if we could listen to the performance with the sounds of nature, as a registration of what happened on this place. The processed sounds are more faithful to the source, but not to how it really sounded. I can't wait to buy a soundboks so I can do this too

Thanks! I only add birdsong to my studio tracks, when performing outdoors I only use the sounds present and in the summer there's not a lot of birdsong in this conifer plantation
