They are already destroyed by loss & guilt when they are charged, prosecuted, & locked up for murder.

@@bbmunchkins The large number of prisoners in USA makes that country the one with more people in prison, let alone that most of these institutions are run by private corporations. The larger the numbers of inmates and the longer they stay "indoors", the more profit for them. Here in Canada the sentences are a joke, in particular when it comes to extreme crimes. On the other hand we have bank robbers receiving sentences of up to 30 years and pedophiles 4 or 5. Harsher sentences ("Amurica" style) only benefits a group and doesn't minimize the high rate of crime they suffer.

It's not that these guys love women more than normal guys, or love them too much or anything of that matter. A horrible death, so much investigative work, and they consider that 11 years in prison for the murderer is fair. He had threatened to kill her if she left him but, 'of course', it was not premeditated, there was no witness, etc., etc. What did this individual do shortly after being released? He assaulted and harassed other people, I read that he was prosecuted in 2013 but I found nothing about a conviction... I wouldn't be surprised if he is walking the streets safer than the rest of the people. .
