Good story and well acted. Kate goes back home after 34 years and tries to piece together all the secrets from her past as she tries to find her mother who disappeared when she was nine years old. Will she ever uncover the truth? I hope you enjoy her story as much as I did.

It's kind of amazing if you leave your child and your kind, loving spouse for another man or woman; if you bring chaos and pain to your family by your own self -serving choices and selfish desires; if you find happiness with a new lover over your child, if you put yourself over your family, over the people you promised to love, you are given soooooooo much understanding, soooooo much kindness, soooooo much empathy, soooooo much "forgiveness", but if you are a true blue, if you give up your own wants, wishes, dreams, youth so that others can thrive then in the end you are just used as a scape goat by the people you loved and dedicated yourself to, you are never forgiven for being strong and dedicated and you pay for the pain that you did not cause at all while the people who played and had fun at the expense of others are whitwashed and adored....and that's life, no one ever said it was fair.

Looking forward to this; I only just started watching. I first saw Kari Matchett in Covert Affairs, to my knowledge. I remembered her because she has a lot of presence (and also, I once had a colleague called Kari and that first name is unusual too, in my personal experience). So when I saw her name pop up in this title that got my attention. She brings something really refreshing and different to the table. Maybe one day I can describe more precisely what that is. (And somehow, I can really relate to her, to "her" in the role she plays, obviously. Who knows where that comes from. She shows you the person in a way that makes you feel like you are that person.)

I agree. Spoiler: Who was he really protecting? He could have reported it to state police. He would have risked jail time (although I think self-defense would have prevailed). She obviously had an aunt. He should have risked jail time to avoid letting his daughter think her mother had abandoned her permanently.

Kennet Welsh is a very good actor. I saw him in many movies years ago. So much class in his appearances. Kari Matchett plays god too. I remember watching her in "Marriage Of Conveniance" with Jane Seymour and James Brolin.

Nice movie. Decent story, above average acting and the main character was likeable and strong protagonist. I liked how the ending had a mini twist where the father turned out to just be a protector holding onto secrets as opposed to the picture of a jilted, jealous sociopath killer that the story seemed to paint. Well done!!! KZbin free movies has done it again. 7/10 A pleasing watch for sure and I recommend it to everyone.

Not a bad movie but a tad confusing! Who was Patty? Was she related to any of them... hard to see what part she played in the story? And even though they tried to tie up all loose ends in the last 15 mins... it was all very rushed!

Had wondered if maybe Patty was the stepmom's daughter - from her first husbandq? Disappointing how nothing was mentioned concerning the father of Patty's baby... Sadly it seems she ended up running away - similar to what her own mother and Iris had done. Fatherless children are far more prevalent than those who grow up without mothers.
