Hadn't heard of this band before but I was thinking I did recognise the sound of John Carmichael. Great album.

As a member of the bardic family the o dalaigh and clan macmhuirich also as a Celtic musician myself the best Celtic folk group I have ever heard my family come dumbartonshire scotland they are true players who play from the heart not contrived folkie and music business nonsense I know in music people have their tastes and opinions and also egos in all modesty my family the o dalaigh of corca aidan chief poets of Ireland and Scotland o dalaigh Wikipedia a ancestor cearbhall Mor o dalaigh composed the air Eileen a roon 3186 AD a latter o dalaigh bard cearbhall og o dalaigh added to the air he was a harpist and poet the air Eileen a roon is a part of the o dalaigh bardic family tradition getting into politics the bardic schools where music and poetry were taught were closed down by the Norman english so so called folk music purists are making false claims about bardic and Celtic music in general there is a nonsense video on you tube about cearbhall og o dalaigh their information is coming from Irish fairy tales and folk lore not from clan daly historical records and bardic annals also Sean nos singing is not part of the bardic musical traditions its from the keening tradition sung at the death of some one furnerals etc its a nonmusical sound akin to howling o dalaigh bards do not howl when they sing

Celtic is a general music across a few countries.. Generally OUR music is Scottish Ceilidh:) much as i love Celtic woman and Celtic Thunder, I find the term Celtic covers a multitude of sins ;)
