Wow! Your set up is beautiful and ticks all the boxes. You’ve got to be so excited to start your RV life!! I’ve found that listening to JD has been one of the best things I’ve done. I’ve upgraded a lot of suspension features that I wouldn’t have given a thought to prior to watching his videos. The ability of the truck you choose to SAFELY tow your rig is the singular most important thing in RV travel. Enjoy your new set up and have many safe years of camping!! Lastly, thank you to JD for this series.

The propane tanks are not 40 gallons. They are 40 pound propane tanks, which equates to 9.4 gallons each. So you only have 18.8 gallons total of propane between those two tanks which is not going to last very long if you do much boondocking. Two air conditioners running will use up those small tanks pretty quickly. You may want to consider purchasing one, or even two, 100 pound tanks, and securing it in the bed of your truck.

This is Barb from HetteshWorld You have exactly read my mind. the kitchen was a huge seller one we both like to cook we like the can we're all about eating fresh it's just an area we like to be in. It's big enough that we work and we don't bump into each other at all sometimes we make a circle if we're going around but that's okay period and then I use the table well to work at and also for our meals and my husband has kind of made some adjustments to give me some drawers and if I hold her thing underneath but in a shelf to keep things from falling off on the edge so it's super cool. But I love the fact that it feels like a real kitchen and in the living room feels like a real living room. At the time of our purchase we tried to upgrade the suspension to 8,000 lb axles and they were currently not available for this unit just to give us additional gross weight period but we have not needed that additional weight for our hauling capacity. We will be putting together a video next week the covers the outside and a lot more detail and shows you since we've been living in it for 2 months what we like what we don't like and how we've improved it and then there will be a second one on the inside. I have a couple of questions, did you consider a F450 and did you consider a Grand Design 376TH? We have a 2015 F 350 and a 2017 GD 376. In the next year or two we will be selecting a new tow and Rv. I’ve been looking at the same Riverstone and also DRV, but I’m sure you know DRV does not offer the same floor plan. I’ll be very interested in knowing you experience with the Riverstone because that is the direction we are leaning towards.
@HetteshWorld4 жыл бұрын
This is Barb from HetteshWorld. Thank you so much for commenting and asking questions because this is what we are wanting period if you get a chance if you check out our channel we have a riverstone tour of their new factory and actually the specific on our particular model period we went to RV shows for about 5 years and went from choosing a bumper pool all the way up to where we are now you know kind of determining where we wanted to be and what was right for us. This camper is what is right for us. we also did three factory tours so we could feel comfortable about it. I know Grand design is very huge right now all the KZbinrs seem to have it period so we are going to be the ones who are different. But we prefer riverstone over Grand design period and touring the RVs we felt that the craftsmanship was just a little bit better and above on the riverstone but not taking anything away from Grand design it was just what worked for us period also at the time the toy hauler garage model riverstone worked with what we were doing with the Can-Am Spyder and Grand design and Montana's was too small. I believe Grand design has made it bigger now for things like canyons. we just feel very happy and very natural and it was like the one for us period Grand design has that great customer service we dealt with a gentleman who is in charge named Tom Ewing at Forest River in Topeka Indiana and he was there for us for the whole time year after year answering our questions helping us guiding us very patient we are very pleased with it. The model we picked up was actually great there was hardly anything that needed to be done on the new RV when you picked it up period and basically what we've been doing since then is upgrading things to our liking like adding some extra cabinets or some more you know using space that could should have been used more anyway period as far as the truck is concerned we chose the 350 over the 450 because of the hitch pin weight capacity. It has been very smooth and towing and pulling and we are very happy. We listen to JD and went through a lot of his videos. we spent the last few years just really reviewing kind of like what you're doing right now. So check us out subscribe if you can follow our journey we're trying to have lively and fun videos period and please feel free to message me anytime you have any questions we are excited about sharing how we did it to help you guys do it. Good luck Good luck Good luck

It is a beautiful rig. However when I saw the cargo carrying capacity numbers my heart sank. With a full tank of water there's under 700 lbs of carrying capacity. If not carrying water and basically just going from full hookups to full hookups, it has 1880 lbs of carrying capacity. Which if just doing that it's fine, but for me who loves boondocking, that would be a severe deal breaker.
@bhettesh4 жыл бұрын
This is Barb from HetteshWorld. it can work for boondocking but it can't work for as long as a lot of people would like to boondock period and we have not been thought yet period we will do some minor boondocking but you are correct this is mostly to be in campgrounds as we are thousand trails members and we are using our Can-Am to go into the places we want to go and get up close. I would keep an eye on riverstone of course after we bought there making some more changes and increasing things so I would definitely keep an eye on them. Tom Ewing at the Topeka IN plant is the one to talk to. As you know they can change as soon as they come out thanks again for commenting thanks again for watching this is exciting and if you're interested check out our channel we are trying to do lively and fun content.

With all the option You have, dishwasher 3 AC solar washer and dryer... how much useful load are you left with? What are the numbers on your model?
@bhettesh4 жыл бұрын
This is Barb from HetteshWorld. Hopefully I'm answering the question the way you would to have it answered and if not please clarify. Thank you so much for commenting and watching the video. when we are connected to 50 amp we have no problem running the entire camper as if we were running and living in our old house. The unit has an energy management system that manages the load on a 50 and 30 amp circuit. So on a 50 amp we can run everything and we've had no issues.When we are on 30 amp we can run two air conditioners because they cycle back and forth. On solar power which we have three 90 watt units which gives us 570 watts of power we have 200 amp lithium ion batteries this is to power the refrigerator also it Powers the main TV the 65 inch TV the theater chairs and the outlets that they're plugged into it also Powers the TV in the bedroom. And also all 12 volt outlets. But the solar is for when we're not hooked up to any kind of power. most campgrounds we have been at we have been blessed to be at the 50 we have been at one in Texas where we had the 30 and it was super hot there but we were totally fine we had no problem running our microwaves refrigerator running nothing at all was a problem.because of the management system and AC will drop off if you run the microwave for a few minutes when you're on 30 amp. We don't really use the dishwasher that much right now we're storing our cooking pans in it lol. But it does work and run pretty good period so if this is not what you were looking for please let me know and we will get you the answer to what you were looking for. The model of our camper is a riverstone 39 fkth legacy model. so thank you again for asking and being interested this is what we want to do is share our information so please check out our channel we are working on producing fun and lively content. ours was a 2021 and a half but definitely search riverstone fifth wheels because they are made some changes already for the new models coming out thank you again

Very nice. You both must be financially set for life as you have sold your home for 3 vehicles that do nothing but depreciate. My wife and I are going to do the same, except we will Class A with a 22 foot enclosed trailer to house our Wrangler and Spyder. Lots of luck. I'm going to subscribe your channel to get updates on your progress.

I noticed you are adding an auxiliary fuel tank. Does anyone know where I could get a gasoline auxiliary fuel tank for the bed of my truck?
@TheFiremanJoe4 жыл бұрын
As far as I know it’s the same tank. Just put gasoline in it.
@bhettesh4 жыл бұрын
and the research that we did when we were looking for ours which was diesel period a lot of them were not certified to do gasoline period so we are not able to provide assistance on this. I would highly recommend that you contact SD Truck they are a company that we dealt with and got parts from and they are very knowledgeable and very helpful on all of this kind of stuff that should be their specialty area. Also I think e-trailer might be a good one to contact on this also period but thank you so much for watching the video adding the fuel sale to ours has been great and let us drive way longer basically is added 400 mi to our towing capability. So I would definitely look into this if I was you and I were also check out our channel cuz we are trying to provide useful and helpful as well as fun videos thank you again so much

You are pretty much in the ballpark. We had sold our house and intended on using the money from the house sale to buy the RV the truck and the Can-Am and that is what we have done with money to spare. We bought from Jeff couch's RV wholesalers and they are out of Hamilton Ohio and they are wholesalers and Ray crane who has a video channel called all about RVs is our salesman super great deal and honest salesmanship. Thank you so much for watching please come over and like our channel and subscribe we are trying to build it and it's going to be a lively and fun channel

This is Barb from HetteshWorld. Thank you so much for watching our video and commenting and I do know what you mean. Cuz it feels like we did win the lottery lol. We spent 5 years kind of researching what we really wanted and how we wanted it to all fit as well as minimizing and getting rid of things that weren't important in our life anymore lots of yard sales lots of craft shows you name it we sold it we got rid of it and we pretty much sold the house and used our money from that to purchase all of these vehicles with somebody to spare. so anybody can do it anybody can do it and make their own personal dreams come true period so when you get a moment come check out our channel we are working on trying to do fun and lively content.

@@bhettesh that is awesome you guys. My wife and I are discussing this very thing. Minimizing, selling and downsizing for our future. We are happy for you. I showed her the video as well. Everything you got is beautiful. Congrats. Might be an idea to make a video on your story. Show your sacrifice and what you did to get this done and be where you wanted to be in life. Why on earth would you need a 4:10 rear axle with a diesel that produces the kind of torque at the low RPM today's diesels produce? With a gas engine, yes, that makes sense.
@amandadavis97264 жыл бұрын
Probably because he wants to ease the stress off of his engine and drivetrain. He probably travels through mountains, and up and down a lot of hills.
