If I dont want too much, I think Buzludzha will also be stunning and interesting for most of the visitors, of course not in this disaster look. But even in this poor and destroing look Ive seen many volks which this building make their interest. Maybe cause the very unusual object or the size and the place of the monument, also the soviet era and how the changings and the mother nature turned this once very big and expencive project now to a creepy place to visit. Even in this bad look Buzludzha is intresting not just for tourists but also for movie makers. Its very sad that our care for this monument even a communist one was used only to hate and break instead to save it from destroing. The original view from the inside is just amaizing and very hard to restore as the original one, but if such a project is possible to build, it will be very good investment and popular mainly for the foreigners... P. S. I want to say very clearly I have nothing to do with socilist party or some NGOs with unknown goals... My idea is based only on personal observations which show me that this monument is more intresting for foreigners than bulgarians and if some day the original project is restored this will bring a lot of tourists who will see our respectful care to every peace from our bad or glorius history. Now we only show how poor and vandal is our culture for our history. If we show feelings to remember our history, instead we try to study it right, its very possible to make same mistakes as we made in the past.

20:33 that’s the abandoned “ Fisherman school”. After WWI Bulgaria’s navy was disbanded, the Navy academy of Varna was relocated on that island - St. Kirik and Yulita. It continued operations undercover, sort of, that’s why it is not a fisherman’s school exactly. Later an isthmus was build to connect the island to Sozopol, making it a peninsula and during the age of the Iron curtain it became a military base. As of today, the island is abandoned, yet still with restricted access. The building is indeed from the 1920 is a great example of Art Deco reinterpreted in a Bulgarian manner.

I thought the beginning town and beach scene looked the most boring place in the world, but then it got increasingly really good when you got to the ruins finally having a nice beer and grilled fish seeing that classic wood tall ship. Very nice and not expensive at all though not cheap like it traditionally would have been. I guess one could travel or live nicely on about $2000 a month out there. That seafood, boating, and fishing is so lovely.

Once you've visited Sozopol, Nesebar is a must as a place to visit. Nearby resorts are Sunny beach and Sveti Vlas (sveti means saint). Nesebar also has old town. Sunny Beach is mostly known as a place for partying for young people. It is like Bulgarian Ibiza or Mykonos, though it has a great beach. Sveti Vlas is more calm than Sunny beach, it is a bit of a party destination but not as much as Sunny beach. It is where southern slopes of Stara Planina (Balkan mountains) meets the Black Sea. I saw in the video that you prefer not so crowded beaches. You can find such if you go to extreme South or North. They are also very beautiful. Going south from Burgas I can recommend Veleka, Silistar and Listi beach. On the north - Bolata, Karadere.

The building you saw across was built during the 20s after WW1 when Bulgaria(on the losing side) had restrictions so they couldnt train Naval officers. To get around that they built that "Fishermen and Sailors" School and closed down the offical naval officer academy in Varna and instead trained them for "fishermen and sailors". There used to be a Naval base until recently. Now the island(St. Cyricus) is an archeological digsite. There are military storage facilities underground and is still closed for general public however. Good thing you didnt try to get over there.
