My son has an autographed poster of Dean Wilson on his wall. He took a picture with him too. Most people were in line and getting the pic and poster and walking away. When my son started to talk to him, he wasn't like the other riders and just "blah blah, move along" he actually shook my sons hand, asked him if he rides, what he rides, his favorite kind of riding, etc. He was down to earth and didn't try to act like he was better than anybody or a big celebrity. He is a very nice and humble man. Motocross is a harsh sport and the slightest mistake can take your life. Dean will regain his confidence and skill and will one day be a top contender...if not the top rider!

I'm a new fan of sx/mx. I'll be watching football and baseball and be like I could do that. Shit, I got two championship rings and all state honors in high school football and baseball if only I had more outlets to be noticed. Watching this narly shit I dont get that notion at all. It amazes me how these guys rip through these tracks on two fucking wheels. Timing these huge ass gaps to where it's as smooth as silk. Going around a turn with that leg out knowing you're one mishap away from blowing out a knee. Mad respect, mad fucking respect...

Being coached by the guy you beat for the 250 championship, thats humility right there. I always wondered how Dean felt when he got 4th overall that round. I thought he'd be content but he looks upset about it, means he is starting to feel comfortable on the bike. Get that win in 2017 Deano. You deserve it.
