D.o.t exam does not require a drug test Mr CDL driver for over 3 years..also some companies will honor your current Dot physical. These are the facts Sir... But still appreciate your vids thanks

In my opinion Crete and a few of the larger carriers are way over board on physicals, a good company would allow you to go to the Dr of your choosing to get your physical renewal provide they are on the national registry... Wouldn't work for a carrier that makes you go to one of their Dr's

It is not uncommon for inspection people not putting the sticker on the truck. They dont care. Happen to me. I had the paper so i was good but i had to go to a TA to get a sticker

Crete Carrier is one of those big companies to stay away from. I used to drive for Crete,and my opinion of the powers to be in Lincoln, Ne. is very low.

Great idea to check and see that everything has gone to the State correctly. Two years ago, I had my physical at the same clinic I have used for the past several years. After all is done, they fax the information to the State and give the driver a small copy of the authorization for your wallet. As luck would have it, my drivers license was due in March of 2023 and, as usual, I renewed it online. However, a notice came up that I could not renew my license on line, I had to go to an office. I went, and was told that the CDL portion of my license could not be renewed because I didn't have a valid DOT physical. I had gotten my physical the previous July. Fortunately I had the long form of the authorization at home, so I went home and returned with it and the DOL sent it directly to the State and so I could get a new drivers license. Moral, keep all the paperwork you get from anyone concerning your CDL. It may be necessary sometime in the future when you least expect it. I still have my first 'authorization' from my first DOT physical in 1970 (long before CDL's).

I know what you’re talking about I did it 45 years Dot physical. The last 7 years I’ve been doing my physical every year due to open heart surgery in 2017. The last few years it’s been a bit stressful getting ready for my Dot physical. Good luck Kevin keep up the good work on your videos I really enjoy them.

The one I learned from this is that when you dont have the paperwork in order, it gives the officer more time to find things wrong.

I've had this happen to several of the trucks at the company I work for. The inspection was done but no sticker was put on the truck. And because we are registered in one state (MA) and the drivers don't, they don't know about the sticker. Red Dye fuel is for non-tax usage. It's usually for public transits and farms.

I never got randomly pulled over in the 2 Years I drove OTR. I had random DOT Inspection Areas which ofc we forced to pull into & the obvious DOT Weigh Scales but never NOT once had an Officer flash his Blue Lights behind me. I’m surprised this is even a thing tbh.

Outside of that bullspit a$$ 2013 Int Prostar with the maxxforce engine they sold me, I honestly have no complaints about Crete 😂. I ran for them for about 3 years both company and lease to own owner op. The pay is pretty good, the dispatch team is solid and they get you home on time whenever you ask. The best word to describe Crete is; fair!

I joined LA Fitness gym, nation wide membership. Many of those gyms have big parking lots and allow semi truck parking for members. In a pinch, I've also parked in truck areas or in docks at mall stores or around back at a big shopping plaza. If you stay the night at a motel, save the truck parking pass from the motel. Always look out for tow away signs. Sometimes it's just hiding in plain sight.
