You may not believe this but fighter pilots have a sense of humor. I used to drive a red and white Ramcharger in the west side and somewhat north in the direction of Fallon.You wouldn''t believe the rush when they slip up and come across your tailgate at just about mach 1. My hat's off to the bird jockeys. That's areal gotcha.

15:16 So here is some stuff yoou might wanna know about f-35. If it was flying that low it was using it's sensor pod to get a crystal clear shot of your faces and plates of your vehicles. You are now on a watchlist. Well done. Also at the end of the canyon it didn't need to pull into a vertical climb to make it out. It pulled the vertical climb because it was looping back to base after a completed mission (also pilot was probably showing off a little). The f-16 you mentioned was a recon flight to see if you were still camped there

The Pilots occasionally stop in in Rachel, conversations revolve around low-level flying in and around that area and they are indeed allowed to "Target" vehicles in and along the highways so it stands to reason all are recorded. Interesting note to your comment, it seems that we can be there for a couple days and not see any low-level passes however Once spotted, low level passes are fairly regular for the remaining days there so likely you are correct

@@OurEndeavor From the description you gave of the speed, the F-35 was moving too fast for that. You can't really drop bombs too much over mach 1 and in terrain like that no chance it can be done at mach. At too much over mach 1, the weapons gain too much inertia for the control surfaces to do their thing. They just get ripped off and now your smart bomb is pretty unusable. They WERE looking for you.

It’s a testing range and planes of all sorts are all over the place. The F-35 was in no way taking pictures of you and those F-16s were doing usual training. People go all over that area and the amount of money it would cost to launch and F-35 to check out a RV it’s not realistic. That’s what the guards and the Sheriffs Office is for.
@dpa03

Lmao they launched a f35 to spy on a retired couple in a RV on public land to put them on a watchlist. Do you understand how idiotic you sound?

Nevada wilderness, the untouched natural beauty of nature, and a perfect location to hide any secrets away from your fellow men. Remote, hostile, unforgiving, to anyone not clued up on outdoor survival. You guys got some great video, but expecting to see any unusual aerial activities is highly unlikely at such a long way off from Area 51 and the others. Glad you had some fun out there! 😀😉

Hi Dave and Karen - this was a neat video (as usual!) Too bad you couldn't capture the F35 on camera but that's the nature of trying to capture such unannounced events at Mach2 speeds! I thought Karen does the editing (nice job!) Love the music in your intro and in the background of your productions. Good luck getting the frig thing worked out. Look forward to the journeys in the next week!

At the 7:42 mark in the video you stated that this was campfire hill. Sorry..This is not campfire hill. This location is behind you a short distance /2.10 miles back. I know because I've spent a considerable time at this operational location. I used to hike up the spots of where the contracted security personnel now often sit and take telephoto images of their gate shack a mile or so further in from where you are as the Air Force had acquired that portion of land. Campfire hill GPSC is approximately 37.352,0-115.606. Just saying. But a nice video by the way. Edited to contribute geographic coordinates for reference.

@@OurEndeavor ...I haven't visited this area since the 1990's. I've met many of the old timer's that brought this to the public's attention such as Glen C, Chuck, Mark F. Norio H, Anthony H, Pat at the Inn and her daughter, et cetera. I've known an Air Force Security Policeman assigned to the complex as well as two EG&G contractor's (aka cammo dudes) I personally investigated the on -sight illegal toxic material's burying incident where Robert F. And Larry C. (REECo employees) were suspected of dying from exposure to these chemicals during this incident. I could tell you quite a bit about the base.. But being a former Air Force cop, I can't and wouldn't want to do this due to national security reasons. Maybe someday I will be able to. But often when it comes to national security.. These projects are recertified. They don't get downgraded to a lower classified downgrading level as expected.. I love camping out here near the perimeter because it's so isolated and beautiful. I've never seen any of the projects I've heard about flying due to the high hills surrounding the perimeter, White sides and freedom ridge. I hope your experience here was wonderful as it always was for me.

Some people go to the lake, or the mountains with the hope it's relaxing or just to enjoy nature.. . We go here for the very same reasons, it's beautiful country, the people you encounter unique and while much of what we see in the sky is never caught on camera we do our best to capture that one sighting that defies explaination because it hasn't been released to the public... Not seeing anything? I promise we have, and plenty! We are heading back this April and once again try hard to capture and share! Cheers!
