In french, there is an "adieu" (a "goodbye for ever") and an "aurevoir", (like "see you soon"). The French version is playing on this "ne dis jamais adieu ce n'est qu'un aurevoir" (Never say "goodbye for ever", this is only a "see you soon") I think the French one express the feelings a better way than in English. Both voices and lyrics are awesome though!

Played this at my graduation with all my friends, both graduating and our friends who were a year before us. We sat in our game club room that we all started, from over 40 members to the last 6 founders, we sat there for a while and played this as we were turning off all the computers and unplugging them for storage. We all had a feeling that the club wasn't going to bounce back the next year for those who were staying. So we all sat down and left the last 6 computers and we all played the game that got us together since middle school, minecraft. We all built a beacon and put all our names and gamer tags on it and turned it on with this song in the background. Then we all gave our hugs and left. I'll miss my group and I hope we could all get back together one day.

The chorus reminds me of my dog.. He fell ill while I was at uni. When I found out that he was getting worse, I drove 200 miles to see him. He was in a bad way, but he perked up a little when he saw me. Those hours at the vet were his last, but I'm glad I was there... before he went I told him "Don't worry bud, it's never really goodbye, is it?" ... March 2019...still listening ❤️🤞 First watched the movie when I was probably not even 10. Been in love with such vivid adventure in the movie and its extraordinary Elton songs since then. But seeing the meaning of friendship got me years later when I was 17 and graduated junior high. My best friend growing up had feelings for me. I rejected him after two months going out making him miserable. Then as we graduated he started dating someone who later I found out was a classmate of us. I thought I have lost him coz he turned cold and quiet as we couldn’t meet everyday like in high school coz we went to different university. But this song has pulled me back! I know he’s not discarding me and I hold on to that...Till now we do go out once a year when i come home for New Year, and text occasionally . Though been far away and not seeing him often, I miss him. TA i miss you, a lot!
