Remember The sacrifice of the Dead and Wounded Men who served their King, Kaiser, Czar, and President in the bitter Great War of 1914-1918. Allied or Central Powered, Men as tough as the ones who fought in this war aren't around anymore.

755This never fails to bring tears to my eyes. My dear grandfather Albert Frederick Rassmuss (1899-1974} was thrown into the Hell of WWI at the tender age of 17 and saw the Absolute Worst of the Trenches and witness the Worst Horrors of that horrible war. He was wounded and earned Three Purple Hearts. I knew him when I was a mere lad and I'll never forget the constant sadness in his eyes. He suffered terrible PTSD for nearly his entire life. I miss him terribly.

Amazing song and lyrics for all wars ! Visit Flanders and battlefields of Passchendaele, look at graves in thousands and visit Melan Gate at 8pm each night and remember those that did not come home !

Lost 2 great uncles in Passchendaele from Australia in mid 1917 rip boys a big black and white photo in their slouch hats at my great grandmother's place they were her brother's ,that pic has sunken deep into my mind since I was a small child .It was the most costly year for the AIF.

The video was amazing. Most folks can’t begin to understand. The video can’t possibly convey the sounds, the screams, the feeling of the blood on skin, and the awful smells.

A man born in our county in Minnesota died there. He was in the CEF. His mother was committed to the Fergus Falls State Hospital (for the Insane) for grief. She died one year after her son died.
