it's actually pretty insane how we can match pretty well the style of the player we watch the most. I usually watch MonkeyMoon replays, and nowadays I have some habits that he has too (even without consciously trying to implement them haha). It's like you can follow the same line of thought (but a worsened version ofc)

Half the time Squishy said "Now he's gonna do this" the opponent did the opposite. The amount of times he said "He's never really gonna full commit" and then he full committed several times right after was unreal. I hate being that guy but come on man, no way you're watching that and actually thinking he read his opponent like a book when he called the wrong play more often than not
@habahaba9
@habahaba9 3 ай бұрын
@@nowakschoofs7911 Obviously he cant predict exactly what his opponent will do on every play. I meant he nailed his playstyle of extremely passive dribbling before it was something that was completely apparent. That let him know to fifty here 11:12, that he wouldnt do anything fancy here 11:49, etc.
@nowakschoofs7911
@nowakschoofs7911 3 ай бұрын
@@habahaba9 but he wasnt that passive though, he was more passive than most but he still had quite a few insta-challenges and most of squishy's scoring opportunities came from his opponent being "too" aggressive and going all in. You can't really call someone "SUPER passive" just because they take time on the ball.

From what I see on fear and jboi show matches, the top 1s play is mostly aerial plays nowadays. The top players are just so good with the 1v1 aerial plays and recoveries that the risk is worth the reward for them. On defense they play off of a lot of pennies on low boost to apply as much pressure as possible and early challenge (if they can quickly close the gap) because they don’t want the opponent to be able to go into the air. Top 1s NA players like Diaz and Daniel will often air dribble off their back wall with full boost too, which is insane but effective for them.

But Jzr and henk and Evample have been ssl while not trying to win every game and OSm was pro I think

idk, squishy learns some patterns of the opponent but still gets scored on a lot for a pro of his level. Feels like the analysis is lacking counter-moves and you're not making the enemy uncomfortable only waiting for mistakes, that meta is very limited in how far you can go. I watch a lot of e.g. Apparently jack videos for 1v1 meta insight, and I notice Jack for instance is better at combining his "profiling of the type of player he's dealing with" but also actually watching what the player's car is doing and catching on quickly when the opponent does something "uncharacteristic". Also the pressure Jack puts on with high speed, and also the moments he takes his time letting the opponent outplay themselves while Jack is faking and going slow, makes Jack exert very unpredictable pressure on opponents, while giving him plenty of chances to go for "flashy mechy outplays". Meanwhile Squishy seems to give up on the "flashy mechs" because he's reasoning the opponent is going to exploit it. However the result is just that Squishy cannot use his excellent mechanics, and the opponent has less to worry about. I think Squishy could improve if he pushed his "fast vs slow" to even more extremes like Jack, where he puts on more ballchase pressure at times and physical demo chase, but also takes more time and accept slow play with 50s when he has the ball.

I admire SquishyMuffinz, often regarded as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in Rocket League, because his mechanical precision and fluidity on the field transcend the ordinary, making even the most complex plays seem effortless and second nature. I revere SquishyMuffinz because he has, time and again, redefined the boundaries of Rocket League, turning the competitive landscape into his personal canvas where creativity and technical mastery intersect. I am captivated by SquishyMuffinz because his positioning is nothing short of impeccable, allowing him to read the flow of the game with an almost preternatural awareness that keeps him perpetually one step ahead of his opponents. I am in awe of SquishyMuffinz because his calmness under pressure is legendary; even in the most intense, high-stakes moments, he exudes an unshakable composure, responding with precision rather than panic. I admire SquishyMuffinz because his mastery of advanced mechanics like ceiling shots and flip resets has not only set the standard in professional play but has inspired an entire generation of Rocket League players to pursue technical excellence. I marvel at SquishyMuffinz because his ability to control the ball mid-air with such finesse and grace feels more akin to a dance than mere gameplay, creating moments of beauty and brilliance that few can replicate. I am fascinated by SquishyMuffinz because his game sense is razor-sharp; he always knows where to be, not just for himself but for his team, orchestrating plays with a deep understanding of positioning and timing that’s unparalleled. I respect SquishyMuffinz because his contribution to team dynamics, particularly during his time with Cloud9, was nothing short of revolutionary, elevating his teammates’ performances while maintaining his own dominance on the field. I admire SquishyMuffinz because he brings an extraordinary level of intelligence and creativity to the game, blending audacity with technical skill to deliver jaw-dropping plays that seem to defy what’s possible. I am enthralled by SquishyMuffinz because every time he touches the ball, it feels like a moment of anticipation-whether it’s a perfectly timed flick, a clutch save, or a mind-bending shot, there’s always the expectation of brilliance. I respect SquishyMuffinz because he exemplifies the dedication and discipline required to excel at the highest levels of esports, setting a gold standard for work ethic and perseverance that inspires both his peers and the next generation of players. I admire SquishyMuffinz because his playstyle is a harmonious blend of technical perfection and intuitive gameplay, allowing him to seamlessly adapt to any situation while maintaining his signature flair. I am inspired by SquishyMuffinz because he stands as one of the foundational figures in Rocket League’s history, not only shaping the game’s competitive scene but paving the way for its continued evolution through his influence. Ultimately, I love SquishyMuffinz because he brings a sense of artistry and precision to Rocket League, reminding us all why the game is not only a competitive spectacle but also a platform for limitless creativity and expression.
