I was waiting for Paul to come up against Oracle Of The Alpha. It makes for epic games. I lost to an opponent casting it, and every one of the power nine twice and I was not disappointed in such an epic game.

Super down for more Arena Cube content. Really excited to see you draft it. Side note: If you see a card called "Grenzo" take it and do everything you can to put it in any deck. Its a Rakdos card, but I splashed it in a Bant deck and would do that every time. I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer Arena Cube to Vintage Cube. Vintage Cube is super fun too, but Arena cube actually resembles proper magic and has far more interactivity. Vintage Cube has far too many scenarios where all you can do is go "Well, there was zero way to beat that start." Even when you win with a busted start, it feels less earned because you had a Black Lotus and your opponent didnt open power. Not that it cant be a fun treat, but something like Arena Cube feels powerful, but still constrained within the normal boundaries of Magic. (Although these alchemy cards are kind of pushing it...)

Lootmonger’s heist isn’t actually a true rummage, but plays like FOMO’s discard and draw. I had this confusion as well, until I was forced to play him while hellbent (which makes the card even more broken).

Cube!!! For the record, you already had lethal at 26:45. If you play the challenger and activate the mutavault leaving 1 red up for play with fire and swing with everything, they block one of the 2 power creatures and go to 2. Didn't end up mattering but still something to think about.

I'm glad that you decided to go with the Arena cube! Since you're new to it, one thing to keep in mind is that it's not like Vintage cube with a bunch of creatureless decks running around, so Exclude is actually a fantastic card and, IMO, the best p1p1 card in that pack (although a land doesn't seem horrible either).

Have not watched the matches yet, but nice Lutri pick, surprised it was still there it is better in this cube than the vintage cube (where it is fine) , the games go much longer in this cube, a few turns more on average so you almost always get to copy a spell.. good luck in your matches!!

I’ve found that I can force mono-green or green+splash ramp and get 6-7 wins easy. People burn their removal on the ramp, then by turns 5-6, I’m casting a bomb every turn. Love the content Paul

oracle of alpah is a really nice card. one game my op, cast a ephemrate on it in response to my removal, so he got 3 copies of the power nine into his deck, game was just over at that point even though it was just turn 4. i tried playing it out he got to the point where he was just casting draw 3 for 1 mana, and ton of extra mana on the board, getting extra turns for 2 mana, then he shuffled in his whole grave into his deck, with a draw 7, so he could just do all that nonsese again, i just called it quits at that point. it was absolutely absurd

Have you considered doing Bo3 for Cube? Unlike regular draft where Bo1 is the only ranked mode (and besides that, the prize structure for Bo3 is worse) there's little downside to bo3. Though, I might be biased bc I was just doing mediocre on the Bo1 ladder but I was absolutely crushing it at Bo3 lol

Uggh you ahould have slammed the p Frog ita top 5 card in Arena cube and way better than your first few picks, i cant believe it wheeled lol, passig it twice is crazy.. LSV has it as best card in this cube, i think oracle of alpha and Grenzo are better but all pretty close...and night club bouncer is way better than stoneforge in this cube, and fixing is pretty easy in arena cube most decks are 3 colors or more , and just take anything that says heist lol.. thanks for the great content have really been enjoying your videos!!!!

Lootmonger is by far the best heist card in 60-card constructed. In limited Grenzo is better.
