Nat Morgan Is he still a natural red head post New 52? His hair color always confused me because after crisis on infinite earths, his origin and hair color changed. But then in the Morrison run, he was a red head again...idk

ruben menjares yeah I can't remember them showing it in the new 52 the last I remember is Morrisons batman and robin run. He's probably still naturally ginger but they probably didn't want it showing in the new 52 as he was on a team with two other red heads (Roy and Kori)

it would be a really good idea to rough up the pants, put a hole in the top of the leg (where his robin shorts would be, and stitch a red version of the raised batfleck fabric to the inside, so it looks like he has it on for extra protection underneath

I actually did a red hood cosplay in younger days. I took a cheap iron man helmet and covered it with resins to make it all smooth. people still thought my costume was iron man even though I had no mouth, a mask underneath and a leather jacket. it was a little annoying. I also made his knife out of wood. I think you should include his blade in tour costume that would be cool. anyways, huge fan, love your work cosplayers do it best -Angus

I might suggest tucking in the Leather Jacket into your Batfleck Gloves and doing like, boxing tape around them, something I did when designing my own version of Red Hood. Only difference is it was the gloves were much bulkier and more arkham-like than batfleck like.

Don't use leather man, you'll die of heatstroke and the tactical pants makes more sense because it's Jason Todd yaknow? I like the inspiration behind the whole "Batfleck" suit kinda thing. since Jason todd was the 2nd robin I would assume most of his gear is stolen from other safe house stashes probably around gotham or blood haven. Probably stole under armour from some of the old batsuits or robin suits stowed away somewhere. So maybe take from that. But he also has to make due with materials he can get in abundance or from villain suppliers. So the cargo pants would probably be a good call. Red Hoods incarnations often depict that armouring of his suit so maybe tactical batman gear.

Biggest thing I would be weary of that I've seen with most red hood cosplays is the size of the helmet. They usually end up looking like bobble heads!

Also i have a personal idea for the cosplay. You could take a leather jacket and red or black hoodie and cut the sleeves off both and have the body suit be long sleeved and then make the gauntlets silver/grey color of the belt pieces u showed us
