Been a member of the Church of Christ and Independent Christian Churches since my wife declared after a move away from my hometown over 40 years ago, "Now it's my turn." When I examined where I came from in the denominations and the true doctrine of the Bible, I did not look back. Jesus is Lord and His word is sufficient for all doctrine.

Because of the new year some people have asked me about resolutions for the year. This might be the 1st year I didn't even think about that. I belonged to a men's group where we handed out clothes and food in the poor neighborhoods and then we talked individually to them asked if they needed prayer and then asked if they have been born again and if they said "no" we would present the gospel 👍

This episode of Unashamed was produced on 30 December 2019. That last podcast produced of 2019 but the first to air of 2020. Phyllis Thomas hands Jase Robertson a letter stating that she believes that Phil Robertson is her father at the conclusion of WFR church service one day earlier 29 December.

As a Christian who's still young in their faith... and literally young, how would you guys go about the notion of areas where God lets us choose? We obviously have free will to choose right and wrong, but around me seems to be a lot of people who operate under the impression that some things aren't as sinful because they are just part of life. If I listen to that kind of mindset I can get behind it pretty quick, but if I reference scripture I notice the strong stances the verses have on all kinds of sin, and what God expects of us as His children. Maybe it's just an issue with the influence around me, but I'm confused of this gray line where people seem to think God doesn't care.

I personally struggle with sexual sin, and all sexual outside the marriage of a man and a woman is sin. Beware of those that say evil is good, and good is evil. And you're Christian? You see, before Yě proclaimed to be Christian he was speaking truth, even while doing the devil's work. But I think that's why he is a type of prince, because he kept it together through all of it and now he's willing to go back on all that to proclaim Jesus is King. That's his new album's title, isn't it? Now I didn't see the entirety of the venue but I saw the first 2 songs in his entrance. The first was "Follow God" and the second was an old hit, speaking about the struggle of man, which every real one understands. Now were you personally there preaching to all those lost souls to turn to Jesus? My guess is no. He was there though. And to come out with those 2 songs in his entering, I think that's pretty bold and courageous, especially with the Manson incident. God uses whomever He chooses don't you realize that? Do you know he made an album called Jesus is King? If anybody else made that title nobody would give it a thought. But the truth is that nobody else did. I was shocked to hear Yě say that Christians are the first to judge! And with almost precise prophesy, all the jealous Christians are trying to tarnish a man who has already been brought low. Before Yě claimed to be Christian he was screaming to the world that we've all been lied to and deceived! He even stopped his own concerts to just rant about how everything is fake. And now he came back proclaiming Jesus is Lord and all the brethren convict him. It's disgusting. He's a young Christian and none of us were perfect in proclaiming our faith right off the bat! And I can guarantee that many of us more experienced Christians still struggle with sin, including you, Christian or not. That night he found himself among the lost. I've found myself among the lost and in some very uncomfortable circumstances, even after being born again. But God uses whom He will. My guess is, for many of you, that Yě flipped the world upside down by showing that top celebrities can be followers of God AND His Son, Jesus Christ. And now you don't have a reason to hate everybody making big money. If you don't have truth and mercy, even regarding this man, I don't know if you're really in the Way of Jesus the Christ.

Love you guys and your weekly podcasts! I'm not sure where to submit a question for you to discuss in your Wednesday podcasts, so I will ask it here. Both my pastor, Pastor Steve Johnson of Living Hope Church in Grand Junction Colorado, and two Youth Ministers of my daughter's church, Good News Church in Topeka Kansas have actually encountered a person with a demon, and successfully drove the demon out. The person with the demon that Pastor Steve encountered actually tried to kill him! When Pastor Steve called the demon out in Jesus' name, the possessed person immediately dropped to the floor, and completely passed out! I have long been aware that demon possession is something Priests and Pastors sometimes tackle, and I marveled when people I actually knew told their stories! The people who do not know the Good News about the Lord Jesus need to hear about that Good News but the people who have actually been born from above need to be taught how to grow up in God. Ephesians 4:11-14 tells us that “God put in the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service, for the edifying of the body of Christ till we all come into the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God to a perfect man and to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the slight of men and cunning and craftiness which they lay and wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love we may grow up into him in all things which is the head, even Christ.” It is a sad fact that most new Christians are not taught by leaders in the church how to grow up spiritually. They are taught about how to be good and to go to church and keep the commandments but if that were all that there is to it then Christ would not have had to come to die. The Jews had the law and could not keep it. Even the most self righteous of them who kept the rules had hard hearts in them. They had no love for anyone. God is love. God is spirit and those who worship him must do so in SPIRIT and in truth. The love of God is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit that is given to us. If what we are doing is not motivated by the God’s love in your heart there just may be a problem. Sadly, many churches today do not have those anointed positions in the church anymore that do that job of helping the new believers to continue to grow in God. We have to switch from being carnal mind led people to being spirit led people. That is not always an easy thing to catch onto especially of the church leadership is clueless about spiritual things as they are written in the New Testament.

hey guys Lisa from Canada here. Since Al mentioned it in this podcast I am curious as to what you guys think about the verse in the book of Mark that talks about drinking poison and handling snakes. There is a church in Kentucky that takes that verse literally. they actually have snakes and poison at their church services. they actually drink poison and handle snakes. the pastor of the church died a few years ago from a snake bite after a church service. yes this is mentioned in the bible but I don't think that people should actually go around handling deadly snakes and drinking poison. but I am curious what you think that verse actually means. and I did ask a question previously that I hope will can be answered soon. it s about family relationships
