I’m stoked to hear that if he could ride just one board he’d pick the Seaside. I 1000% agree 🤙🏾. There is no board better that can work in any condition. I’ve ridden the mashup, the glazer, dominator etc and the seaside blows them away. That is the GoAT of all boards

Hahaha stoked your frothing on the Seaside so much! Personally I gravitate towards my Mashup a little more now as I find it turns a little tighter - personally preference at the end of the day though 🤙

I’ve been preaching on my channel that if you started surfing at 40 the seaside is the best board you could ride. To hear Rob say that the seaside is his fave just made me smile 😊

Mate what an experience! Getting to just chat about all this with a legend like Machado. Great episode! So cool that he was so generous with his time too. Great watching. I loved every minute. This has got to be the best interview and most relaxed interview with Machado I've seen. Probably in his happy place shaping a board. :)

What 2+1 does Rob put in the Mashup. I have one, and I basically ride it as a quad with H4s. I used his glazer fins to make it work as a thruster, but I went through 7 sets of fins and couldn’t get it to work the right. Those are the only two fin configurations that worked well on the Mashup for me, at all, AND!, it’s highly conditions dependent too. Like the thruster only worked well on head high runners. The quad is too fast in waves that set up slow on the shoulder. I’d like to ride my mashup more but it’s so conditional I can’t. And I almost dumped it entirely after five separate fin setups didn’t work for me. Then those above aforementioned fins made it light up, so I kept it thinking/believing that it absolutely does have potential and maybe I’m still not seeing all of its potential yet.

Not too sure, I'll ask and see what he says. I'm assuming it'll probably be his new Twin + Trailer set or the Slater Endorfins though. Love my Mashup as a twin + trailer (I've used with a few setups and goes great) but also a quad too. The Rasta Quads are great in it if you're looking for another option to try, but I've also got to get around to seeing how the Machado Quad set goes in it too!

I tried Reactor thruster, reactor Quads, then MR +trailer which was way drivier but kinda unstable at times. Then I put Large Dan Manns in and NEVER take them out. They feel fantastic. Drivey, manoeuvrable, predictable, reliable.

Rob’s boards are the best in the FireWire line 100%; most reliable. Rob, let’s get that Chadocado in a 5’5 please in Volcanic. Thanks. What about a making a modified Glazer fin for the Chadocado. For some reason my mind says that would be an effective combo.
