I wasn't that keen on the 2000 theme. The original 1988 theme and the updated 1995 theme are way better. In my opinion it's a poor attempt to revamp the theme for the new Millennium.....

In my opinion it suited the new Millenium, as it was the millennial generation that were becoming the growing viewership in the 2000s. Just following global trends of the time. At least they kept them them unlike today with virtually nothing. It’s a part of the shows identity and used to get you in the mood for the show. Neighbours has kept their intro to this day.
