I discovered this album in 2004. I was 19 and just got hired at Tower Records and was organizing the racks. When I geeked out, brought it to my manager, and asked her to remind me what my employee discount was, she just gave it to me as a welcome aboard gift. But I completely forgot about it til tonight!! Now gotta revamp the Halloween DJs playlist!

The Time Warp can't be covered by just one singer. In the movie It's Riff Raff who's out to shock with his weirdness, Magenta who's out to shock with over the top sexuality, The Crim. who plays the stereotypical scientist, A whole chorus of undefined weirdoes and Columbia who's both cute and weird at the same time. The Time Warp says to me "Get ready for the most epic mind fuck of your life".

there's a sweet irony in all of this: Frank "n" Furter was a declining glam-rock proto-punk and now punks are giving him tribute. It is a shame it has to be more US Punk in sound this album more than our rougher UK version..........he says ducking for cover!

It was on the original stage show, and it was even filmed for the movie but was ultimately deleted. Most (if not all) stage productions retain the song though. In context is Brad reacting to Janet's cheating.

finding this just in time for my HALLOWEEN 2013! saw TRHBS about 23 times during the heydey in Hermosa Beach, Venice, Hollywood and Santa Cruz. yes got smacked in eye by toast once. best moment was Hollywood: Janet sits up in tub when busted with Rocky & her breasts kinda hanging over tub. 2 guys come running down theater aisles, jump in unison & smack screen where her breasts are…you can imagine…couldn't have been good for the screen…BOSS ALBUM BTW!!…YOU ROCK!!

Science Fiction/Double Feature ist recht interessant, wenngleich das Original sehr viel besser ist. Unerreicht einfach. Superheroes mochte ich bei der Rocky Horror Picture Show nicht so. Das ist hier ganz toll gelungen. Im Großen und Ganzen erreichen die Stimmen aber nicht diese Prägnanz wie im Film.
