The Rodrig Classic Ultra Light is the further development of the first original RODRIG Carbon which was launched in 2012.
Originally the Rod Rig Classic was specially designed for Alpacka Packrafts.
The new version has now become even lighter and stronger and is supplied for all Packrafts and kayaks.
If the standard version does not suit your packraft, then they can be made specifically for your pakcraft.
The weight is from 120gr (single carbon fibre rod holder) and 210gr (for a double).
It is lightweight, packable and really does help you out when fishing from a packraft. The rod is stored out of the way so it doesn't get in the way when paddling and it is in a great position for trolling.
The RodRig Classic is not the cheapest piece of gear and it retails at around £108 (don't forget the possibility of import taxes) but it is a great piece of gear that I will have in my packrafting bag from now on.

Hi Martin thanks for this great video. Love your channel, great info about Packrafting. I am going to buy the MRS microcraft size large packraft. I also wanted to but the Ridrig AS carbon rod holder. Could you recommend the right size Rodrid holder for the Microcraft large, since you have experience with both ?

Thanks for the good advice. I emailed Ridrig and they talked to the MRS sales rep. They recommended 95x75 cm for the MRS Microraft large. I am from Canada near the Canadian shield. Simular terrain to northern Sweden and Finland. Much of the Packrafting here is in the West where they do a lot of white water. Where I live everyone uses canoes. I really like your channel. I learned a lot about another style of packrafting !!!!!!

@Paul-jd9wi thank you. This is what I say to people here in the Uk and eu, that everyone goes on about Canada and Alaska but we have the same environment here in Scandinavia. Yes the sizing sounds about right it is a really helpful piece of gear if your fishing from your packraft, lightweight as well.

Yes Scandinavia is very nice from what I see on KZbin. Also It's fairly close to home for you, which means you can go more often. Remote areas in Canada are nice if you don't want to see other people on your trip. But can be hard to access and more expensive if you have to take float planes. I just bought the Microraft, Rodrig UL and anfibio Multitour paddle. Thanks in part to the great info on your channel !!!!!
