I was there. At very front, pretty much near the camera. This was the second time I had seen them in a few weeks. I loved it all. Aged 19, pushed to the front ,knew every song and there they were right bang in front of me. Ticket was about £8 ( eight) which was not too bad at all . No " golden circle" stuff in them days. I remember them doing Angie. It was an emotional slow tempo one in a fairly high energy set. I'll never forget that day. Afterwards we all just walked to the pub !

The memory is so sweet and private.12 August 1973 fifty years ago. Don was in the US Air Force in Italy. We fell in love slowdancing this song the day we met. The rest is history and now he is in heaven. Truly we can't say we never tried..bringing to America such a teenage Italian wife was risky, but we enjoyed our brief marriage our little house ..

One that comes from the heart and soul of their collective representation and glazed with instrumental sweetness that's layered with decadence and patient savoring of a smooth robust early morning coffee.

Exile I n Main steet one of the finest albums ever made. A double album too. Mick Taylor is totally responsible for the classic sounds. Unique talent. Rare. Ron Wood referred him as a wizard. That album is incredible. Music unlike any other. Big thanks to mick taylor. Love the pedal steel solo on All Down the Line. On fire !!!!!

Angie, Angie, when will those clouds all disappear? Angie, Angie, where will it lead us from here? With no loving in our souls and no money in our coats You can't say we're satisfied But Angie, Angie, you can't say we never tried Angie, you're beautiful, but ain't it time we said good-bye? Angie, I still love you, remember all those nights we cried? All the dreams we held so close seemed to all go up in smoke Let me whisper in your ear: Angie, Angie, where will it lead us from here? Oh, Angie, don't you weep, all your kisses still taste sweet I hate that sadness in your eyes But Angie, Angie, ain't it time we said good-bye? With no loving in our souls and no money in our coats You can't say we're satisfied But Angie, I still love you, baby Ev'rywhere I look I see your eyes There ain't a woman that comes close to you Come on Baby, dry your eyes But Angie, Angie, ain't it good to be alive? Angie, Angie, they can't say we never tried

Look at Bill with a head wrap on. First time I've seen him getting a little funky with his dress. Must have been a hot day. Wonderful version of Angie. My prayers go out to Charlie's wife and family along with the Stones I do believe Steve Jordan will do his best to honor Charlie. Please at this time remember that we have also lost so many other musicians that were key to our Stones sound for instance Brian Jones, Stu, Bobby Keys, Jimmy Miller and the many others who have passed. Also, among the living - the fabulous Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman. Also, this week saw the passing of Sara Dash. Wonderful voice saw her a few times with Keith and the Winos. Prayers also sent up for her and her family this week.

It's now 2019, Mick Jagger announces final tour, for hundreds of years they'll be the benchmark along side the Beatles, I don't think there's any bands left bigger than the stones, they've all come and gone

It's not common to see the Stones so tense on stage. They seem worried about something else, not just rocking and playing. They look almost like those bands who are tend to dissolve at any moment. The magic the Stones always had was, in fact, their capacity to enjoy themselves and their style, so much. But in here, is like they've "lost it".

I think around this time Jagger was still doing a lot of the heavy lifting regarding band details including finances, press, itinerary ,recording , licensing , merchandizing , promotion and trying to stay relevant with the ever emerging MTV .All while hoping Keith can stay out of drug and legal trouble.
