My brother who is now in heaven died in 1976. He had every Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Doors, Steppenwolf, immy Hendrix's albums and more. He'd listen to that music on his record player every chance he got. You could hear his music playing throughout the house. We don't know what He did with his albums; must have given them to some lucky "Honky Tonk Woman." Ha ha!! My brother even looked very much like a young Mick Jagger (hair cut, face & body); so every time I see Mick I am reminded of my precious brother and his beloved music. Thanks Mick!!!!

Charlie's brilliance was that he never overplayed his drums. A true professional and the man behind what I think is the most iconic bass drum beat ever... Honky Tonk Woman. No matter if you're in your car, sitting at a bar or at home, when that song comes on, if your hand or foot isn't tapping, check your pulse.

My parents used to play this real late and loud when they had party,s back in the day and i was just in my early teens. They did,nt ever seem to notice me creeping back downstairs to join the party because everybody was well drunk.I used to sneak a few sips (usually Rum or Whisky from unattended glasses and even managed once to persuade an uncle to let me have a puff on a spliff out in the garden.Something we laugh at now.Well everybody except my Mum..Who to this day still says my Uncle was out of order..But it turned me into a life long Stones fan..I,ts just a perfect Rock n Roll tune don,t you think..I also used to watch spell-bound as 2 of my Aunties used to Jive to this and all Rock n Roll tunes played. They were amazing dancers..Happy Days.

I listened to this song for the first time in school a few years ago, and the thing that really shocked me when this song started up was Charlie’s drumming pattern. Sure, the cowbell and lyrics are great, but Charlie is the reason why this song is so spot on because of the beat he provides that gives the soul of this and many other stones songs. Rest In Peace

When I was a teen, my buddy and I went to see them, we were desperate, because they were so OLD and we just knew we would never see them again. Well, that was more than 40 years ago and i know the day is coming, sooner than I would like, but it has been one heck of a ride. And yes, I have seen them several times since. With the loss of Jerry Lee Lewis, the last of the first generation of Rock and Rollers ended. Now we are seeing the last of the 60's coming and much of the 70's to join them. Really sad, so, all I can say is see a show if you can, you never know when it will be their last... or yours.
